Stuff like this sickens me. If the all the other 7th graders had been armed, this probably would never have happened. An armed society is a polite society; create a culture where gun rights are limited and only the people who don't know how to handle the responsibility carry firearms. Welcome to the world you've created, liberals.

Chalk another one up to the poor public education system.

Lesson #1: never bring a knife to a gun fight.
Lesson #2: Dont get high on your own supply.

Hahahah good stuff. The fact is, gun control does about as much for stopping people ffrom acquiring fire arms as pot being illegal does preventing people from buying and smoking it.

What if the teacher was a licensed carrier? When kids can get guns but lawful citizens find it increasingly hard to attain one, then we have a problem with gun control, and the answer is certainly not more gun control because more control only affects the law abiding

Depends what you mean by "gun control" really.

How about a law that says that you have to keep your guns locked away safely so your kids can't find them, enforced by confiscation of the guns + imprisonment if your kids manage to get hold of them and take them to school?

I thought gun control meant being able to reliably hit the target you were aiming at.

You guys, trolltastic.

Cause that's what inner-city Angeleno kids need...more guns.

The part about authorities trying to figure out what the fight was about made me laugh. People were beaten to a pulp when I attended an LA middle school just for sitting on the wrong patch of concrete at the end of PE class.

/barely survived John Burroughs...in the 80s

Came for the Sean Connery "Untouchables" reference...leaving satisfied.

Um, they still wouldn't have had the gun in the classroom because essentially every state in the union forbids carrying on the grounds of a public school, licensed or otherwise?

//Strangely, generally doesn't apply to "non-concealable" weapons, longarms like rifles and so on. But you wouldn't bring a rifle into the classroom either because kids are dumb little shiats and one of them would inevitably fark with it.

This is obviously the fault of the teacher's union.

if i were the teacher, this would have been a great time for a history demonstration in duels. i would have put them back to back, walk 5 paces, turn and fire.

Samuel Gompers would have approved only if the weapons were used aganst the oppressive administration.

Occupy LA ISD!

People, people...you're missing the entire point of the story...

How can we blame the TEACHER for this?

Remember...no student accountability...no parent accountability...just teacher-blame. Lots and lots of heaping piles of "The teacher should have done this" and "the teacher should have done that." Is it so early in the morning that we've forgotten the national media narrative of blaming the teachers for everything that's wrong in the world? Geez...

Drink some coffee and get on your game motherfarkers.

You mean there are kids in Boyle Heights that don't bring guns or knives to school?

Wait, what?
