I really want Obama to be backstage during one of these things, and after they all answer the "why are you the best choice for beating Obama" question, he comes out in all smiles and just gives each of them a big hug.

Fista-Phobia: Romney jumps into the crowd. WTF? HAHAHA

He's keepin with the WWF theme, by gawd!

There's a show on Animal Planet called "American Stuffers" that is about taxidermists.

It's LESS weird than this.

We need kids to be more interested in science. But not science that is uncomfortable for my worldview. Other stuff, preferably bomb making and hand held gaydars.

There, there. Pennsylvania is home to many morans. I am pleased you are not one of them.

Thank you. I just had to get that off my chest.

Now let me crack open a Yuengling and feel better.

So, CNN spontaneously decided to give Romney the last-word locker-roo, sound byte.

Now CNN is fellating Romney like starving crack whores.

2012-01-26 10:04:41 PM
Well, I'm off to watch something a bit more dignified: pro wrestling. Later.

Newt's win in SC woke the establishment up to how close they were coming to losing this pre-arranged primary.

Coco LaFemme: Gingrich is a sociopath, suffering from delusions of grandeur and a compulsion to pathologically lie. Any other country, and he'd be locked in an institution getting Thorazine injections thrice daily, but in the United States, he's allowed to run for the highest possible elected office.

and you find this to be something the US should rectify?

BassChild: I don't know about that. It's tradition, but I don't think something untoward will happen if the President wanted to take the oath on say, a copy of the Constitution. Which frankly, they should be doing. They're not swearing to uphold the Bible.

John Quincy Adams used a law book, and Teddy Roosevelt didn't use anything.

Every single media outlet is telling us Romney is more electable than Newt. It's just so far the voters aren't buying it. Especially here in the Southlands.

The liberal media bias died sometime back in the 1980s.

Ah, boooring. If Mitt and Newt aren't fighting anymore, than I'm out.

To recap:

Newt Gingrich is an asshole who thinks the 51st state should be on the moon, Rick Santorum thinks we should invade Cuba and Honduras, but it doesn't matter because he's irrelevant, RONPAUL is more physically fit than Newt, and Mitt Romney is rich as fark and doesn't care who knows it.

Coco LaFemme: FWIW, Nate Silver thinks FrothAss did as well as the Mormon Gordon Gekko.

They all looked sharp and that was bad for Newt.

If Romney had come into that debate at the top, 'he' would have been the top target and would have gotten thrashed by the other three, like they thrashed Newt tonight.

In short, this is going to the floor of the RNC and it's going to be glorious.

And the crowd cheered diametrically opposing statements equally. It was odd.

It's gonna be like watching Secretariat versus Barbaro.

So after Wikipedia-ing Saul Alinsky (I didn't know who he was or why Newt hated him), I find this,

"Former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey gives copies of Alinsky's book
"Rules for Radicals" to Tea Party leaders."

Why does Newt hate the Tea Party?

THIS! If I didn't have the internets, I would be at a loss for 'news' that doesn't push for a consumerist, spend spend spend, buy, buy buy slant.

David Leonhardt @DLeonhardt

Romney odds of nomination on Intrade: 89%, up from 65% yesterday. Mostly bc of new FL polls. A few more % pts during debate.

It's surreal to be sure.

I'm mostly disgusted by the seeming disinterest in space exploration by this Party's candidates...

Of course, Obama's no better on that issue, so I have to simply accept that we're not going to get off this rock in my lifetime.

I've heard quite a few say they think Santorum did the best, actually.
