Seriously. The only reason I ever wanted to live in New York City was because of Welcome Back Kotter. Now, after living here 7 years, I realize everyone living here now is here because of Sex In the City.

When I was in the 5th grade (the show was at it's heyday then) my teacher was in love with him. The day after the show aired she would say to the class "Did you watch Welcome Back Kotter? and did you see Epstein?..." One day she got her wish got into an elevator with him in a hospital in NJ, she kept saying what a nice guy he was. RIP Funnyman

I loved that show when I was a kid. The theme song was great! RIP funnyman. Far too young to go.
/found WBK Season 1 in a bargain bin for ten bucks.
