I just signed into my account and it recommends clips from lesbian movies, yoga channels, a hockey penalty video, a barefoot running documentary and a bunch of things about the 2012 Republican Primary. But I know I haven't looked up any lesbian movie, barefoot running or hockey stuff.

I set up a youtube account for my toddler so I could make custom playlists of his favorite cartoons and lolcat videos. Google thought he was 18-24 year old male with an interest in cats. Whatever... except it kept serving him video ads about how to shave his crotch. Yeah, I've gotta figure out how to block ads on the old Macbook.

I don't this works by what you search in Google but by the cookies left by ads that appear on the websites you visited (or ads results to your Google searches). So users like me that use Google but have an adblocker get..
