It only opts out your Ad Preferences (ie: what ads you get served to you by Google). You cannot opt out of the process otherwise. It still tracks you and gathers info on you every time you open your browser and that info still goes wherever and to whomever the fark Google wants it to go.

Well, at least google doesn't think I am a disgusting pervert based on the stuff I searched for and the sites I visited. Not that google would have any reasons to think so, but I am glad that no mistakes were made and google doesn't think I am into some truly disturbing stuff due to some glitch or mistake. Really.

Actually that stuff seems pretty accurate and it even got my age and gender right although I have no idea why google would think I am interested in Asia or Coupons.
