Only in so much as most type 2 (Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus) diabetics wouldn't need medication and/or insulin if they were able to decrease their body weight by about 10%.

More importantly, the few times I've seen her programs, I haven't seen anyone say, "EAT THIS WAY EVERYDAY!!!!"

She really needs to incorporate those diabetuus drugs she's peddling in her cooking show.

Thank you for covering that for me. Diagnosed with Type II over 10 years ago. It's amazing how many people think diabetes means "can't eat sugar", or "must eat lettuce". You cut back on the bad stuff, exercise, lose some weight (or a lot, in my case), it's not a death sentence. Now, you keep eating tons of sweets and carbs, totally blob out? Yeah, you're going to die a miserable death. Not defending her, this whole drug endorsement deal is so hypocritical. I just can't stand the misconceptions about diabetes.

As a recently-diagnosed diabetic, I say THIS. Nothing is strictly off-limits, you just have to watch what you eat and make sure you exercise. As long as she's under care for it (meds and such, if needed), who cares what she eats?
