Is he proud to report the country is stranger than it was a year ago?

There's a Jed Bartlet twitter feed and he still tweets? And it's complete with twitter feeds of other West Wing characters? That's kind of unprecedented level of involvement considering the show's been over for at least 6 years now, right?

Bartlet for America!

No. Some people have hobbies. You should see how much fanfic some Twilight fans write. It's not unprecedented.

Why are you surprised? It's in its 13th season now.

I heard Bartlet's son is a Hollywood liberal cokehead poon hound.

No no no...education is only important to get people a job.

We need to cut out all this liberals arts bullshiat and teach kids money-making skillz.

I'll wait to hear what Attorney General Jack McCoy says about this before I make any judgement.

I've had them followed for better part of a year now. It's great.

Fictional characters are like straight women holding onto gay boyfriends. They serve the same purpose.

First of all, Job Creator, isn't a title, it's a made up phrase. Now Mr. Romney, today you decry the federal bailouts, yet the United States paid $44 million to prop up the pension funds of a steel company in which you were a major shareholder. My question to you is, can we have the money back?

The only even recurring character that seems to have problems is, oddly, Sam Seaborne. Whoever plays him keeps forgetting his password and making new Twitter accounts.

Here's my list (@ before all of them, obviously)

The primary motive to getting myself educated was the thought of a job at the other end of the tunnel. Today's youth doesn't have that.

Good luck...

I can't be the only one that read it in Martin Sheen's voice, too. Man I miss the West Wing.

That's a truly accurate impression of what an Aaron Sorkin character might say, in that it was shrill and preachy and I lost interest before I got halfway through it.

2012-01-25 03:52:20 PM
Sadly, we'll continue to make pointless professions of faith in the halls of Congress and do little to actually effect positive changes to our country.

Could go either way; see, for example, the headline here.
Whichever way on that, whoever is behind it should probably be making a run for office.

/probably only state legislature, tho

They run to the bright lights of our nation's television studios and spend more time talking about how the other side prevents them from doing their job than they spend actually doing their jobs.

That's a pretty good summary of why we hate both parties in congress and even most Republicans are pretty cool with the President by comparison, I'd say.

//Not kidding. I have some friends of the "Obama's a seekrit muslin" variety. In a vacuum, sure, Obama's the worst thing ever for the country. Slip the GOP candidates or our Republican rep into the conversation, though, and it rapidly becomes clear that there are a number of things worse than "worst thing ever for the country". They aren't voting for Obama, but I suspect they aren't voting for anyone given the tone of general disgust.

I'll give him credit, the last couple paragraphs sounded like something out of season 1-3 Bartlett

we need more politicians like our fictional ones, they'd do so much better
