Shouldn't that be more of a TA-DA?

And will have his license back in 90 days

Farking drunk drivers... seems like it's the official state sport here in Louisiana. THIS idiot tied up traffic for a good while by closing I-10.

yeah...that should be TADA!!

/there are many more qualifiers required even for consideration as "Aristocrats!" status.

Meme now null and void due to misuse

Wow, that's the luckiest black man in Louisiana.

That was, surprisingly, just up the road from me. Read about it in The Advertiser (local paper) this morning at breakfast.

For "Aristocrats," though, shouldn't there have been a donkey show with his daughter and a transsexual neighbor and--

Hang on, I'm gonna go whack it...

Dunning-Kruger effect. In his mind he did a fantastic job. All should be proud.

Remember accidents are somehow 10 times worse when a drunk does it instead of a sober person just being an idiot.

Well no wonder the guy stood out. He was driving much too well for Lafayette.

//bought her a new car while she was there
///astonishingly, she never got a scratch on it

I'm scared to walk some places, even just off campus, because I've almost been run over several times.

Lawlz... yep. The parking and traffic situation around campus is horrendous even with the additions to parking made since I graduated (in 2000). I was lucky enough to have bought a house near the hospital, I could ride a bike to class.

Traffic elsewhere in the city is lousy. One of the reasons I moved away.

I'm surprised there aren't more car/pedestrian accidents there. McNeese has at least one good one per semester.

Anyone else bothered by the "eye witness" driving his truck at highway speeds trying to videotape the drunk driver on his cell phone?

Did you grow up in Lafayette? My sister is a high school teacher there. Festivale Internationale De Louisiane is an absolute blast!

I grew up there, spent four years active Army, went back for college. Moved away when I got a real jerb. Wonder how many Farkers are from there/live there currently...

Ahh, Louisiana... Thank god I was born and raised in the land of the drive-thru daquiri shop.

It's always been a huge shock when I leave the state and can't buy alcohol in a gas station or grocery store. Ohio and Delaware sucked like that :( Only in Louisiana can a person grow up in bars and libraries ;)

Alas, I'm stuck in Slidell pretty much all weekend, 3 performances of The Importance of Being Earnest.

/yes, there is culture in Louisiana

2012-01-25 04:30:39 PM
I know there's culture here :P We have the Baton Rouge Little Theatre that puts on a decent amount of productions and the bars have quite a lot of live music. I need to get my New Yorker SO out around more. He keeps complaining (teasingly for the most part) about the culture here.

given where your profile says you're from "stuck in slidell" should be "hooray, three days in slidell".
