What the hell are you going to be able to do with Minecraft lego that you can't do with regular lego already? Isn't minecraft just digital lego anyway?

I already have LEGO Minecraft. It's called LEGO.

Does Fark still love Minecraft? I haven't seen a story about on here in months.

I started playing Minecraft right after it got popular here. I even payed the five bucks for the game. Ironicaly ( for me anyway) I stopped playing right after it went gold. I got excited about the dragons, the endermen and dungeons came out and then I just kinda forgot about it when a few other games I wanted to play came out.

So, anything fun or new get added?

I've been disappointed with the direction they've been taking the game lately. The last thing they added that I actually enjoyed was pistons, back in 1.7 beta, and that was originally a mod. Since then they've added breeding, enchanting and alchemy (because Minecraft needs to be just like WoW), a tedious and unfun new food system, and a ridiculously stupid "endgame" because it's not a game if there isn't a boss fight, amirite? :\ Oh and don't forgot the giant mushroom biome with cows that have mushrooms growing on them.

All I want is more block types to build with, and more resources to craft with. For me, Minecraft is about building and crafting. Not growing melons and making babby aminals.

I love Minecraft. But using Lego to recreate Minecraft just holds back Lego's potential.

I agree about enchanting and alchemy, but I don't mind the farming and breeding business. Now that sheep regrow wool (in the color you dye them) wool building is back. I want more blocks with colors and textures to build with too.

Yes, and still more. They're still adding new biomes, mobs. New AI programmer is making all of the mobs smarter. There's work being done to create a much more robust vanilla Multiplayer Server, including official modding support. The idea here is that modders can add more content than Mojang ever could, and they're right, so having a proper Mod management system will be fantastic.

I will have to ask my 15 yo that question. He plays for hours. I saw last night he had built a 200' tall Lighthouse with glass windows and a rotating beacon

What I really want to see is marble, either in the form of quarries or ruins you can mine. I want to build temples dammit.

Never played minecraft. But isn't the idea to salvage blocks of material and use them to build things? Sounds just like the Lego Creator software.

May I suggest a few mods? Industrial Craft 2, Red Power 2 and Build Craft. There's some overlap in functionality but all three are good and play well together. Basically they provide the building blocks to make giant rube goldberg like contraptions. I spend mor etime ont hat now than I do on anything they have added in the last few sets of updates.

Agreed. The random enchantments that go away once the item breaks, and the fact that most potions require difficult to get Blaze Rods make them both more trouble than their worth (even though I do love the magic book animation). But I quite enjoy having to grow and catch my own food.
Also lovign the regeneratign wool. And I honestly can't wait for our multiplayer server to update, so I can breed a shiatload of cows, grab a stalk of wheat and stampede them through town. :)

I prefer SurvivalCraft for Windows Phone 7. The dev, Kaalus, is as hard working as they come in the mobile community. New update to 1.5 should be getting pushed any day now. Unlike MineCraft Pocket Edition, it's not just the alpha. The world is infinite, you can craft a pretty wide array of items, and the next update will include animals. On top of all that, it is half the cost of Mojang's product, and easily twice the game. More features are to come later.

Here's a link to Kaalus' blog if you're interested in reading more, and for the other WP7 owners here.
