They won by 33. The hell do I care if he didn't score?

He moved the ball. Right now, that's what I want to see him do. They shouldn't look like more of a team when he's on the bench.

Move the ball, and gradually find spots to introduce his superior offensive game.

"I needed a night like this when I score one point and we win by 20."

Carmelo was told there would be no math.

Gallo would ask "who?", but he is busy making a shot.

I was really hoping the Knicks could get 'Melo without giving up Gallinari. Dude's a star, at least on offense. And he completely vindicated me amongst my friends since I was the only one who was happy that the Knicks drafted him.

Anyway, if this is a sign that 'Melo will be less of a one-man show then I'm all for it.

FAIL tag? They won by 33. Granted, it was against my horrible Bobcats, but I don't call scoring 1 point in a blowout win a failure. So Melo didn't score 35; he obviously did enough to help them win. By 33.

33.

/And I HATE Melo and the Knicks

I think the planet needs the karmic biatch-slap of Denver winning a title with Galinari, Chandler, and Mozgov. Make it so, David Stern.

As a Knick hater and Melo' owner in Fantasy it was a no-win night for me. But after shooting 35% the last 5-6 games, he went into the game trying to be a facilitator on offense and constantly drew double teams in the corner that opened up the game for his teammates.

Hopefully this is just a one-off, but good on him for trying to play team ball.

Gallo just signed a four year extension...

Didnt he say he was going to be shooting less? A win is a win.

As a Nuggets fan last weeks game was a schadenfruedegasm. It encapsilated everything I've hated about Melo. The complete lack of effort on defense. The disinterest in rebounding. His willingness to avoid passing to wide open teammates while in the depths of a shooting slump. But when the game was on the line he made a big shot with three dudes on him which is why some sucker will always be willing to pay him the max. I'm really glad its not us.

Yep. Before the Gallinari trade I had friends who freaked at the thought of losing Melo -- even though they agreed that a 30+ point scorer doesn't mean a whole lot when he's giving up about the same on D. They came around shortly thereafter, though. Denver totally fleeced NY.

Denver almost won the Western Conference with Melo (lost 4-2 but game five was tied after three quarters). Let's see if this team can do that. They look real good but time will tell.

With this season's squeezed schedules and multiple back-to-backs (to backs), it really benefits youth. I'm thinking these young Nuggets can do well and finish strong. Lots of talent there.

CSB: I have fan plan tickets three rows from the visitor's entrance/exit.

Agreed. They are one of the surprises this year. Fans should really be excited about the squad.

Kobe got insanely hot shooting and buried the Nuggs. I remember that series more for seeing what level a real superstar could take his team to. But Melo was still young and I held out hope for future improvement. Then the next year we got knocked out early and Melo threw his teammates under the bus for their lack of effort. That was when i turned on him.

This seasons tightened schedules is perfect for our depth. I see Westbrook as one of tgose guys that melts down after he gets paid so i think catching OKC and a 1 seed in tge playoffs is a possibility.

Hey the Kniicks might end up with a losing record as Melo struggles between doing things to help the team win and doing things that help him remain a star, but gosh darnit, the night clubs, jewelry stores and expensive restaurants are sure happy. And after all, that IS why he wanted to go to NY right?

I think that was a real risk. There is a big upside but the kid seems to be a headcase.

It was a great game for me even though I have Melo because I have Tyson Chandler as well. Combined they gave me 21 pts, 28 rebounds and 6 assists and only had 1 turnover. Melo's been killing me with turnovers.

I don't know. The last time the NBA had a shortened season you got a geriatric Spurs/Knicks finals.

Me too. The injury bug is farking me in the ass. My 1, 2 and 3rd picks have all had the injury bug to a smaller or greater extent (Curry, Melo, Z-Bo). Somehow I'm in 2nd place in my league right now. It's starting to look like my last football draft though: horribly mismanaged rounds 1-6 but smart late round/waiver moves.

Z Bo will payoff when he gets back from injury. When the pressure's on is when he's at his best and with the Griz starting off fairly slow he should blow up when he returns.

Yeah but I needed that roster spot to be productive since at the time I had him, Steph Curry and Melo all hampered by injuries. In football I held onto my injury crew (McFadden and Vick) for far too long hoping they'd get healthier sooner rather than later. I knew just how long Z-Bo would be out and I needed some F/PF production. I dropped Z-Bo and picked up Shawn Marion for the time being. Depending on how the season goes I may pick him back up a couple weeks before he's due to come back or check on how Horford's surgery/rehab is going.

David West has really been killing me. I have finally managed to put together a pretty good team but I am already way behind. I neeeeed David West to start playing better though.
