"When we were purchasing tickets for staff to purchase, we obviously thought they were mostly going to be able to go at the weekend or on Fridays," said Mr. Stevens. "Then when you look at what's available at those sorts of price bands, on those sorts of days, most of it turns out to be volleyball. As ever, on these occasions, the explanation is coincidence rather than conspiracy."

Perfectly innocent explanation noted.

SoCalSurfer: Yup, pretty much the only sport worth watching at the olympics

Complete opposite here. I will watch literally any sport you put in front of me as long as it has the Olympic rings slapped on it.

Anything. Synchronized swimming. Sailing. Walking. The only sports I leave on the shelf are in the camp where I can already watch it anytime I want and for where Olympic gold isn't the biggest prize, and not even always then. I can live without Olympic tennis, for example.

I trust the British government. I mean think about it, I have a perfectly innocent explanation for why I'm posting in this thread and it's not because this will save the thread in my recent posts for looking at when I get home.

I also have a perfectly innocent reason for notifying people that my email address is in my profile.

FWIW, I'm gay, but I still really enjoy watching women's beach volleyball at the Olympics.

I'm sure it's been said, but, Pro Female Volleyball players are the biggest biatches I've ever had the displeasure to meet.

I worked security at a sports center. They had several teams come in preparing for the Olympics. All the V-ball girls acted like their shiat didn't stink. They had the worst attitude, the least patience, and were just twats about everything. What a waste of cut butts.

Also: why are these Chinese guys wearing bras?

I assume the "pointing at my ass-crack" move captured in several of the above photos is a hand-signal for some common play? Or, are they just justifiably proud of their asses and pointing them out for anyone who missed them?

Setting sexy female players aside, I went to the Atlanta olympics in 96 and the beach volleyball venue was a lot of fun and they sold margaritas.

In fact, the Atlanta Olympics was *puts on sunglasses* a blast. YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAH

at least Volleyball does tend to use a portion of field, requires a physical ability to move which is required for the points for their actions, otherwise cheerleading is given point opon their "style", & yet we have Poker on ESPN which unless it's bull-poker, I consider as nothing but a hobby. Granted Beach Volleyball tends to have a few girls in slightly skimpy outfits
video.volleyball.com

www.chinadaily.com.cn

doesn't make it less of a sport, just kinda indignifies to the fact that the girls tend to show so much skin out in the public . . . so, regardless of it being a sport, it is indignified

The fingers tell your teammate who's serving how you're going to try to block the other team.
1 means you're blocking the straight hit down the line.
2 means you're playing the angled hit.

So two 1's means "I'm taking away both sidelines, you dig in the middle of the court".
Also "This toned ass is quick enough to cover the whole net".

Not shown: wiggle one hand or the other to indicate who to serve the ball at.
