ISTANBUL - Three men identifying themselves as supporters of Turkish soccer team Galatasaray sliced off the ear of a rival Fenerbahce fan after abducting him off the street, the Sabah newspaper said on Thursday.

Sabah said Fenerbahce fan Okan Guler, a well-known fanatic for the Istanbul side nicknamed "Rambo," was bundled into a car on the Asian side of the city and taken to a local picnic area.

"When I saw the Galatasaray flag in the car, I started to panic," the paper quoted him as saying. "Then they cut my ears with a razor saying 'feed these to Fenerbahce'."

Guler's left ear was completely sliced off in the incident.

An intense rivalry exists between Turkish league champions Galatasaray and their cross-town rivals Fenerbahce, frequently leading to violence.

This article is particularly NOT FUNNY.

Galatasaray: However, you're article IS funny. Anytime someone loses an ear, it's fukcing hilarious! But only because an ear can be reattached. I don't condone the violence.

That article was dam funny, the comments by Robbie The Bobbie mascot was sweet...

"...suddenly the Bluebird came and punched me, I was so shocked that I nearly dropped my truncheon. I only tried to give him a cuddle and to calm him down. But I slipped and we fell around all over the place."

Hehe so next time the bouncer asks me what I was fighting for, I'll just tell him I was giving the dude a cuddle to calm him down... lol

I actually believe that guys in comical suits fighting each other is one of the hights of entertainment, and I personally want more of it.

I would like to see gladiatorial style matches in which various guys in wacky costumes violently attack one another and beat each other about the face and body with comedic implements.

I seem to believe at this point that this could fit a 50 minute time-slot at prime time.

Korzeniowski: We already have that, and in a prime time slot. It's called the WWF. And boy, it's pure crap.

Does anyone remember when "Wolfy" the Wolves mascot beat up that Bristol City mascot? Brilliant stuff.

(Note for Americans - Wolves, or Wolverhampton Wanderers to use their full name is the most famous and unarguably the best football (NOT Soccer) team in Western Europe, and anyone who disagrees is probably gay)
