Another question thst shaould be asked is: Why is Dept of State constructing muslim prayer rooms INSIDE the US embassies; isn't this an infraction to separation of Church and State; are there any plans to build "meditation rooms" for other religions.

If he was a republican it would look more like this:

"Mister President, when you talk about the unemployment -- or the jobs being created, is that based on the payroll survey, or the household survey? Because there's -- because of the bailout, there's been a tremendous increase in the number of entrepreneurs that have started their own businesses, and those numbers aren't reflected in the payroll survey. "

Yet another "We're such victims." Signed, the GOP

About half of these questions are complete cheap shots and bullshiat that I'm sure some assclown looking to make him name for himself would ask regardless of the party affiliation of the president. Who to "submissively bow to"? What a crock.

It must've killed this guy when the Townhall editor spiked his question about Obama's birth certificate.

A couple of those are very legitimate questions, but most of it is nonsense.

ManateeGag: Yes, but not one of those questions is "WHAR BIRTH CERTIFICAT WHAR?!?"

Well, this question's bone-headed enough to replace it:

7) How do you decide which foreign leaders to submissively bow towards and why do you think that's appropriate for an American President?

*facepalm* There are no words...

As is this one:

14) Your stimulus bill cost more in real dollars than the moon landing and the interstate highway system combined. What do we have to show for all of that money spent?

No, I'm pretty sure he is. I mean I only have the past three years of his political choices to go on, so I could be wrong.

I think 7, 8, and 14 are BS questions. I think half the others are whiny debate style questions that might have a kernel of validity but are designed to make the debate moderator look good.

Overall, I think debates should let the candidates ask each other questions and leave the media to hold their dicks.

Obama, "Mr. Romney, first, thank you for a road map for universal healthcare. Second, who does your taxes because...damn...that was some good work."

Romney, "Mr. Obama, while I appreciate your efforts at trying to right the economy...especially that part about borrowing our way to prosperity, but can you please explain what experience you have had taking a company from the brink of bankruptcy and making it solvent again?"

"Through dubious means, you and your allies in Congress managed to push through an incredibly unpopular health care bill that helped lead to the worst election night for the Democratic Party in 50 years......."

That's an objective question, right?

I'd also approve a swimsuit competition and celebrity boxing style events for debates. Let each candidate pick their champion for each category.

Actually, if you think about it, it's still a slap in the face of the media. Remember, we're considering that the president is a Republican in this. It could be viewed as saying that the Republicans used the power of the legislature to screw the Democrats over as opposed to using it to help the nation.

Also, it's not a question...it's, as quoted, a statement

The bill is unpopular and did have much to do with the shellacking the Democrats suffered in the 2010 congressional elections. The dubious means are maybe a bit much, but there were plenty of kickbacks and backscratching that made the whole process pretty disgusting even for the most ardent supporters of the bill's contents.

By that same logic the tiniest criticism of Obama gets you labeled a racist from 2008 onward.

So . . . what's your point? That sometimes attacking the central figure of a political ideology will get you criticized by members of that ideology? Ok.

FTA: 1) Numerous Mexican citizens and an American citizen have been killed with weapons knowingly provided to criminals by our own government during Operation Fast and Furious. If Eric Holder was aware that was going on, do you think he should step down as Attorney General? Were you aware that was going on and if so, shouldn't you resign?

If Obama were a Republican then his answer would be, "Gun don't kill people; people kill people. Those drug lords would have gotten the gun whether through Fast & Furious or through other means.

I expected softball questions, given the deference the media has given some candidates in regards to some pretty loathsome policy proposals.

VictoryCabal: Two whiney-assed Townhall crybaby threads in a row? Man up, conservatives. Stop trying to make yourselves the victim of everything.

Seems like a hallmark of authoritarianism, playing the victim.

I went to a meeting of the Mens group at my church (don't ask..), and expected to hear things about how we could be better husbands, fathers, citizens, etc. What I got instead was a pathetic mixture of "gays chose that way", "gay marriage today, dog weddings tomorrow", "abortion is the fault of feminism", nostalgia for a time which never existed (guy actually said he wanted things to be like Ozzie and Harriet), and an overall tone of "there is a war going on against us and people like us". One long, whiny session of victim-y butthurt from a bunch of people who were all 1.) White, 2.) Male 3.) Christian, and 4.) American. They hit the farking demographic lottery, yet still felt everyone and everything was actively working against them. Fark the lot of them.

The whole experience has pretty much made me non-religious at best, and agnostic at worst.

You're right. They should have offered a public option, or at the least a single-payer plan. Yes, it's unpopular, just not in the way you (or, rather, the people who pay you?) would like to imagine.

The media DOES treat BO the same as Republicans. If anything, they treat Republicans too well, consistently failing to challenge the nonsense Republicans spew for fear of being called librul.

Also, I like how the endless stream of Republican scandals and attacks on each other are the fault of some vast librul conspiracy.

netweavr: Wait... Gas was $1.74/gal when he took office? I don't remember that.

At the worst of the recession when demand for gasoline was at a serious low, gas was that cheap. As economies around the world recovered, the gas price increased to reflect the uptick in demand.

It's not a good thing that the banks screwed the pooch so bad that it depressed worldwide demand for oil by that much.

The individual components of the bill all poll very well, but mention "Obamacare" as a whole and instantly support plummets. People are idiots, and the Republicans did a good job poisoning perceptions.

Right - because the media totally hits Republicans with questions like those. If a reporter asked Gingrich or Romney questions with biased wording (corruption ... dubious ... incredibly unpopular ... demonized ... submissively ... wildly unpopular ... irresponsible ... risky ... wasted) without any sources for the weaselly worded questions (numerous ... a lot ... people who say), this fark would be screaming for that reporter to be fired.

I'm sorry that the GOP tends to nominate candidates who are befuddled when asked what newspapers they read, but that's not the fault of the media.
