It has been too quiet. Luckily, 10 meters has started picking up recently, and I can't wait until 6 meters opens up with F2 layer skip.

I'm quite North (Labrador, Canada) and saw the Norther Lights for the first time two nights ago. It was honestly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in nature.

The entire half of the sky was lit in bright greens and pinks, dancing up and down like Earth's own music equalizer. It was incredible. Last night was cloudy, but I'm really hoping for some good sights tonight. Especially because tonight I have my camera battery charged. I can't believe I missed that opportunity.

Why bother? There's lots of good pics of northern lights. Put the camera down and just enjoy the moment.

I'm a journalist, always looking for standalone photos for our paper. That's the biggest reason. But you're still right; besides, the pictures don't do it justice.

Too far south, too much light pollution, one of these days, when I'm rich and famous, i'm gonna hop on a north bound red eye just to see the Northern lights.
