For fark's sake, he was 21 years old in 1964. Who cares who he supported then?

No one.

We only care that he can't seem to tell the truth about it.

So, he's trying to steal Romney's Quantum Political Superposition?

At least he's always been against Obamacare, except when it was Romneycare, and before that, when it was an alternative to anything looking like a single payer system which really scares the bejeebus out of the folks who pay him...

I retroactively supported Goldwater over Rockefeller, so NANNER NANNER NANNER!

Look, for fark's sake, he supported Rockefeller, but had he known he was going to run for president some day, then he WOULD HAVE supporterd Goldwater. I don't understand what the problem is. Can't you libtards read?

Jebus, Mr Peabody, did someone set the wayback machine to 1964?

/Newt is a professional liar and hypocrite. How is this a story?

He certainly seems to have taken a page out of Rocky's playbook with regard to
his cavalier views on relationships.

It's very simple, Juan. The question isn't whether or not I supported this person of that person. I've made mistakes, and have asked forgiveness, and frankly I'm appalled that you would ask something so insulting in a debate when there are many more important issues we should discuss. But the real question is, did I support Americans. And it's quite clear the answer is yes. Even my friends in the liberal media have to admit that both Rockefeller and Goldwater were Americans, and nothing you do here tonight to insinuate otherwise will fool the American people.

(Wild cheering)

I kinda didn't pay that much attention for the two days after that particular debate, but that emphasis on Newt's part clearly had some subtext/overtones. Did any of the press have the balls to suss that out, or did we just let it go by?

Ahh, THAT's why he lost. Always wondered that...

He IS a dope.

The House voted overwhelmingly yesterday to reprimand House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and order him to pay an unprecedented $300,000 penalty, the first time in the House's 208-year history it has disciplined a speaker for ethical wrongdoing

I never endorsed a Massachusetts style healthcare system for the nation
