Honest Bender: Wait... they aren't the same movie?

The titles are clearly different.

And they will still make millions from it...

Considering the Evanovich book "One For The Money" came out in 1994, you can't really say it is copying "The Bounty Hunter."

/wife has been reading the series for about 10 years now
//Evanovich is up to book #18 in the series

I thought this was going to be a mashup with Dog the Bounty Hunter. Why did I read Dog in there?

You aren't the only one, trust me.

Complain about the lack of originality in Hollywood.
Make yet another uninteresting "mashup" video.

jackbooty: And they will still make millions from it...

That is their main goal, make no mistake. Any art or actual innovation that happens is purely coincidental.

Indeed. The argument could, in fact, be made that THE BOUNTY HUNTER was
copying ONE FOR THE MONEY.

Also: ONE FOR THE MONEY isn't the first time the book has been adapted;
back in '02, the WB commissioned a pilot for it, and by all account it was
abysmal even by their low standards.

My wife is a huge fan as well; if I don't manage to get her a copy of the books
on the first day (or earlier thanks to my connections), I don't hear the end of it
for weeks.

I've read the first 6 or 7, and I do like them. She gets the feel of NJ right,
though I think that 4 is the best/funniest of them all.
