Yeah, but for some actors they probably shouldn't be surprised if they get written off for not cooperating, I mean because that is what the story required.

I find that I enjoy the shows from HBO, Showtime and Stars more than any show on network tv in fact I don't even have cable anymore just Netflix. I enjoy the nudity, because it is nice to be able to view someone that there is no chance of viewing in real life.

There is nothing legally stopping broadcast TV from doing nudity now, after 10 p.m. In prime time it's problematic because 10 p.m. Eastern time is 9 p.m. Central time, but this could be (mostly) fixed by restructuring to have separate feeds for each time zone. If the Supreme Court actually strikes down indecency regulation then who knows. There are plenty of countries that don't fret about this sort of thing.

I don't think anyone should be forced to do nudity, but if you're an actor on a show that centers around sex or at least includes a lot of sexual content in the writing then you know what you're getting into. Also if you're on a show that's on HBO, Showtime, or Starz, then you should expect it - it's a large reason people watch those shows (other than the fact that they're just usually better in general). If you're unwilling to get nude, someone else will do it. Don't let the door hit your covered ass on the way out.

I'll also say that some of those actresses who do get nude on some of those HBO shows have gotten more attractive to me, like Anna Paquin for instance. I always find her kind of odd looking, but thanks to all her nude scenes on True Blood, I find her sexy now.

Now those channels just need to take the next step and show everything (both men and women) instead of just teasing the audience with booby shots (not that those are bad). Yah, I know that's not going to happen, but one can dream :P.
