I always worry about this when I drive up to Vancouver.

But I'm not afraid of Mexicans, duh. It's too cold up there for them. I'm afraid of the Canadians.

Is there a particular reason these mules have to be sightless? Is it to enhance their other senses, particularly hearing,as they approach border crossings?

I've heard of Canadian growers attaching pot to the underside of trucks crossing the border (typically moving/delivery trucks) and then collecting it States' side. Seems a little messy, I'm not sure if there are any confirmed cases of it.

I wish the Canadians got as creative as the Mexicans. The northern border has a great deal of barely surveyed forests, not to mention an ample flow of traffic to hide drugs in. It would at least make the war on drugs mildly entertaining if border agents found the stuff they do on the southern side.

Canadians should smuggle weed in the molson cans, with how skunky that beer is, you wouldn't be able to smell the pot.

I'm so happy it took a trial judge to figure out the pattern here and not the investigators. God forbid they should do a competent job.

Change these asinine drug laws, please.

"three-and-a-half-mile commute"

Wow, I am thinking it might have been better to ride a bike each day? Maybe have the wife drop him off at the border and pick him up.

/Reminds me of college. Parked a couple miles away in "free parking" and biked the rest of the way.

I'm all for keeping Mexican weed out of the US. I'm also all for getting Californian weed distributed throughout the US.

Obama doesn't want to have the legacy of being the black president that legalized weed. In his shoes I wouldn't want that either. So listen up Farkers. Fill the house and senate with libs and vote for Hillary in 2016. Then we can fill the skies with smoke and finally chill out.

Andres, who agreed to speak to CNN under the condition that his name was changed,
...
A few years ago, Andres walked away from his career as an optometrist in Mexico to follow his passion: music.
...
To expedite his commute to the University of Texas at El Paso, where he studies music education

Okay, folks... How hard will it be for an investigator to find this person?

What's stupid is that it took the authorities more than two seconds to realize this was even possible. Holy shiat.

Just the most obvious reason why possession laws are, in their very nature, ridiculous.

But it's the only way to make a dent in the war on druuuuugs.

"We haven't been made aware of anything like this [before]," he said. "[The cartels] are getting very creative, this was something relatively new."

This was new? That drugs come over in cars? Which is it Martinez? That your FBI is stupid or complicit? Or is it just you Martinez?

I will lay you better than even odds that the prosecutors are sure--SURE--that these guys are still 110% guilty, and they are really cartel kingpins and the judge is either a stupid dupe or in the pocket of the Mexican Mafia; and they're already working out how they can bust these guys again as soon as they set foot back in America.

The "new" is that the cartels are getting creative. Really, the FBI didn't think they were capable of actual thought. You know, like they didn't think they'd be taking all those guns and actually killing people with them.

I'm sure that the TSA hasn't given any thought to those evil terrorists exploiting the new frequent flier security lanes, either.

I knew I had made a mistake that time I was in Tijuana and I had a couple hours to kill. I thought to myself, "This is a good as time as any to get that prostate exam I've been putting off." When I was stopped crossing over the board I was sure it was a case a mistaken identity. Upon the strip search it turned out I had unknowingly been smuggling several kilos of heroin in my fanny. Now, as a languish here in this Mexican prison waiting to someday get released I lament the day I went to that South of the Border proctologist.
