For instance the Magneto - Xavier Frenemies thing has gone on for 45 plus years and when written well, they do come off like an old married couple with more than a bit of sizzle left to them. So much so that a great many non-fanfic readers read scenes of them in the comic books thinking, "Oh for fark sake, just kiss already!" It became such a *thing* that when they redid Marvel for the Ultimate Universe, they made them ex-lovers.

Some of it is just sick, and all the Harry Potter slash, most of which has involved them as kids, is just disgusting.

I've been a slash slut for years, mostly XFiles, but the Harry Potter stuff has skeeved me out from the get go. I've never read it and won't read it, because to me they are children and will always be children.

I also stay away from RP fic of any kind (real person as opposed to characters they play) and I don't tend to like slash that slashes just for the sake of slashing, when there's never been shown to be anything at all, even in subtext, between the characters.

But those are my rules. I don't make them for other people.
