So, is this an example of Obama's shameful lack of presidential decorum or an example of him shamelessly pandering to the youth vote?

Uh, can't it be both?

It works because Google's creation of Google+ is such a nice analogy for his administration's handling of the economy. They saw a "problem", made big promises about how there was hope to change it, threw tons of cash at it, then never saw anything beneficial happen. Now they look like fools in front of everyone with no chance to change that.

So once he answers the question about legalizing pot and they eject the Ron Paul Hijack Brigade, will there be any other questions asked?

Actually, that would be excellent if he did Fark.

And I think he'd be able to handle the troll and other irreverent comments,
because look at all the noise he has to filter thru everyday from the whole damn nation.

/and I know he reads the news and other media too...unlike some presidents.

Why? He's not RON PAUL, neither is he in favor of legalizing marijuana, nor is he 15.

I'm sure the questions will be complex and "hard-hitting".

What else can your do, Mr Pres, to make your already great term a better one?

You do know that the president can only dictate what policy can be rather than actually making it happen right? Congress still has to agree with everything he comes up with. So the idea that any President, Obama or any of those GOP guys is going to magically fix things despite a broken congress is wishful thinking. The 2012 elections wont fix that after all, no matter how they go.

Few examples.

Constellation isn't dead, because Congress didn't want it to die. So they compromised, decided to build just the one rocket instead of two and decided on a less committal goal. Its still the basis of Constellation though, which is using shuttle program tech to build a rocket. Or basically to keep the shuttle program manufactures happy because the congressmen from that district will get an earful and the aerospace lobbyist will be very unhappy.

Gitmo, kept open because congress decided not to go along with the plan for closing it. Made it very difficult for them to do so outright.

Anyway, these are a few examples. The point is that we need to get out of this mindset that the President makes things happen by himself. If anything I'd like congressional voter turnout to be higher than Presidential turnout, but historically that just hasn't been the case. Instead we grumble and blame the president and then elect a new one every 4 to 8 years and a majority of the population on either side actually believe that he'll change things all by himself. Then get disappointed when he doesn't. :P

That isn't how you fix things. Hell, any Ron Paul supporters here? Can you honestly tell me how he's going to get anything done when the majority of congress doesn't agree with him? Just saying, I wish we were more realistic and less stupid about believing that we can fix things every 4 to 8 years with a new president.

Yeesh.
