I really wish they would stop trying to making hipster techno happen. Techno is terrible and it's taken over pop and rap.

yep.
I also wonder if there was a time capsule with a man from the 70's (all cool and shiat) was opened and exposed to the hipster culture. His head would explode.

Yes and I never knew bill paxton had that much talent in him either, after I saw it I found out he wrote and directed it, he does not work enough.

If I remember correctly, McConaughey was a fan of marvelous 3 back in the day and butch was their lead singer so he would listen to this shiat.

Its better than most shiat on the radio now, but I know this will probably be played non-stop soon and I will hate it then.

Amen to that. His performance in Haywire, though brief, was actually the most interesting, believe it or not. You actually cared about the character and the turmoil he was experiencing.

Does this mean it's accepted that Wooderson is McConaugghey? Because I could believe that.

Not in small-town Texas when you're a sports hero

The only part I'm not sure of is (a) if Wooderson backed out on the team for his senior year or not, and (b) if Pink is actually going to go the same way in the end. There's more there than just pot, beer, good music and sweet cars, to be sure....

The opening and the titles were clearly going for a Drive reference. Why they were doing that is a mystery.

A) Butch Walker, as someone earlier in the thread pointed out, is a god.

B) Re: "Come On Eileen" -- in concert, Butch Walker actually segues into "Come On Eileen" midway through this song, rocks the shiat out of it (as much as that song can be rocked the shiat out of), and then segues back into "Synthesizers."

C) It's a great song and a great video.

Yeah, it's left to the inquiring repeat viewer to decide how it went for themselves. And when the movie is good, I don't mind it leaving a few questions open at the end.

Agree with the couple of people who say Butch Walker is a god. That man has been making very good music for 20+ years and it's a shame he isn't more well-known.

If you EVER get a chance to see him live, do it. Very few people put as much into a performance as he does. Evidence:

Best Thing You Never Had

I love movies like that. You go in to them with little to expectations and come out thinking "why aren't there more movies like that?".

A real surprise, but Frailty get 4 out of 5 Sassi's.

One of the best I've seen. Saw him way back in the Floyd's Funk Revival days, then saw him again on his latest tour. Amazing.

Based on the samples I've heard today I'd say that he's not more famous because "adult contemporary" isn't a very exciting genre.
