Liberal, Tory, Con, NDP....all the feds have been involved in this mess. Trying to lay blame is the tactic of the last 100 years.

In other words, the FEDERAL gov't needs to admit things have been bad.

And the Native Bands need to change, need to join the 20th c. Then the 21st.

Hang on, If a liberal is right that a conservative is wrong, which causes the conservative to become twice as stupid, therefore being twice as smart as a liberal? Then clearly the Liberal couldn't have been right in the first place because the conservative would have been so smart that s/he wouldn't have made a mistake.

Or maybe you're trollinng/a partisan.

Hey now, as an Albertan I feel compelled to point out that we're not all pants-on-head retarded. But it's widespread enough I can certainly see how the rest of the world got that impression.

haha lots of bites, relax have a cup of decaf there kids. Harper and the leader of the First Nations (Shawn Atleo) actually have a pretty good relationship, based on published reports and that both sides feel that they can make positive progress.

My comment however was on the double down of stupid, sure I make a flippant remark about a previous flippant remark and I'm that bad guy?

/Oh and for the 'wrasslin' thing? Look at the sports thread on Monday nights. Could it be that I like being entertained by something that is silly? Oh that's right you are probably at an art gallery, reading old greek poetry or something along those lines. My university educated, professionally employed self has better things to do.

Being a part of the conservative party's ever burgeoning "Communications" department (Troll army) is no way to go through life, son. You may eventually start believing in your own BS. And if you are entertained by silly things, then you must be happier than a pig in excrement when you read your own posts. And I think we can make a hypothesis that popularity does not equal quality.

An i am sure the University of Phoenix is a real University, I mean it has "University" in the name right? That can't possibly be a scam.

Oh by the way nothing wrong with art galleries try one out you may learn something, never tried the Greek poetry thing though so I can't comment.

Umm, Paul Martin and Jean Chretien were'nt exactly friends......

Paul Martin was also a decent money man, if it weren't for the corruption in Quebec, he would have been Prime Minister in 2006.

Hmm, let's see here. Not only do you try to start a sentence with the 'and' but you spell that incorrectly? Also, where are you from? *Looks at profile* Saskatoon? Wow, you're going to get a kick out of this one!

So you are in the practice of insulting people who are quite proud of getting a degree from the university in the city that you live in? True, I don't often go to art galleries, it's not my thing. A good museum on the other hand I do enjoy. When I travel I like visiting things like Mayan ruins etc. I also like to take the time to have a drink and learn something from a local on the their culture.

I can afford to do this because of my excellent education at the U of S. Oh but mock me because I didn't think the liberals did a good job of governing and my guilty pleasure on a Monday night after work is zoning out and watching RAW.

I'd challenge you to a battle of wits, but I choose not to pick on the weak.

Right, Martin presumed he was entitled to PM, and lapped up the scraps dropped to him till Chretien was ready to hand him a shiat sandwich.

Oh no! It's Harper's "sound economical policy" that has seen us through tough times. How do think he got re-elected?

I think he would have been re-elected. He was the best Liberal leader in the last 10 years, I know, that's not saying much. He didn't get a fair shot at the Liberal leadership, he got swept aside by the negative publicity surrounding the sponsorship scandal.

Anyways, I still think he would be better than Harper.

It is a disgraceful situation and I can predict the outcome of that meeting between Harper and the Native leaders.
1. Native leaders need more money, more services, etc.
2. Respect Native treaty rights

That has never solved the problem before though. Maybe if the really corrupt chiefs got arrested the rest might fall in line and actually use the government money to improve their band's lives?

Harper is a national joke (a bad one), and I can't believe anyone with more than two brain cells still functioning would vote for him after what he's done to our politics in this country.

FFS, the man is building corporate megaprisons and ramping up mandatory minimum sentencing that even TEXAS judges thought was epic fail -- and people VOTE for this?

I guess so. We can at least watch them bouncing towards us for a week.

I was going to make a really cutting and funny joke about the U of S, but I couldn't actually think of any. The U of Eh? has many however.

Harper, as much as he does fit the profile of the typical religious conservative hick, does actually have an economics degree and hasn't been proved to be completely corrupt. The voters were punishing the Liberals in the last election; that is why they were capable of a majority, but it behooves them not to make to many radical changes to the country. Megaprisons are a very bad idea. Increased presence in the arctic is a very good idea. I have, so far, found at least one proposal from the Tories I approve of to balance out the shiat I hate.
