Here's the thing: Fark is a website where links are published, and we gather to talk about them, both positively and negatively. The Dresden Dolls tend to attract a lot of the latter because, well, they suck. It is perfectly valid for someone with good taste who has been exposed to their music to pop in and make mention of how awful they are. If you are looking for exclusively positive feedback about the group I imagine they have a website of some sort; failing that you could go to PretentiousshiattyBands.com. Yep, no need to roll out the welcome to fark jog. Nor is it a 'headshot', my head remains intact. I have been around so long now that little surprises me here:) Fark is for snark, no doubt:) but when one snarks at the snarkers, as it were, one gets told no, this is the way of the Farker(tm), do not criticize! I argue that this is the very raisin d'être of Fark - to pontificate, to hold animated and often aggressive discourse. Only the soliloquy is frowned upon:)

Well, I was there for the first Femmes tour in 82 or 83, and saw them about 5 times, the last being in the early 90s. And they were also a spot on band.

This is nice and all that she is doing a tribute, but it is complete crap. She does not convey the angst of the originals, she is a farking aging hipster.
