Saw a few years of it on PBS. I thought it was pretty funny. Especially when he/she gets a little catty in his/her comments to guests.

Except his Dame Edna character says, "Hello Possums." And as an Australian character, that's correct- the marsupials of that grouping in Australasia are called 'possums.' "Opossums" are marsupials found in the Americas.
