Yo,Ravens ... THAT'S how you end a game :)

2012-01-22 10:57:13 PM
No Plaxico and Tyree to get you out of a jam this time around, Eli. Just Cruz. It's revenge time.

Great game.. now hopefully the G-Men beat the hell out of the Patriots..

Any of the "Football to the Knee" ones would have done as well.

2012-01-22 10:58:24 PM
Was hoping for the football to the knee one to go green, oh well.

2012-01-22 10:58:24 PM
Jim Harbaugh might be the whiniest head coach I've ever seen. That said, incredible season from him and the Niners. But I'm still happy the Harbaughs both lost today. I've never laughed harder at the end of a football game as I did at the end of the Ravens game.

go Eli.

2012-01-22 10:58:50 PM
out of the final 4 teams, this superb owl matchup was the one I wanted to see.

/would love to see Eli bet Brady again and have more rings than Peyton

Eli is much better than he was back then. No need for Coughlin to play it safe and just try to hammer the Pats with the Giants' defense. He can tell Eli to go out there and if he has the chance light them up at will.

Would I particularly enjoy Best Manning having 2 rings to my main man's 1? No, but what's the alternative?

Geaux Giants.

Congrats to the 49ers on a great season. It's good to see the Bay area relevant in the NFL again.

/go not the patriots

Soooo it seems that the Pats will get another round of rings this year.

Yeah, the conference championship 2nd Place ones that lame-o teams give out.

Great game, even with Kyle Williams failing all around, both teams played great. Ravens/Pats was good too but I didn't get to see most of it. I've got the Giants to win the SB.

I hope the fact that the Niners and Ravens did so good and both lost by 3 will help convince people that defense is NOT dead.

as dirty as it makes me feel.....Go Pats.

fark The Giants and the Mannings.

Who's gOt it better than than us ? The Giants!

Not at home, so I had to stream this game from the FS-VIVO feed; gotta say that Mexican Joe Buck and Mexican Troy Aikman are about 98% more entertaining than Regular Joe Buck and Regular Troy Aikman.

Pretty sure Strahan called the score pre-game, too.

Horseshiat...I still don't believe in this Patriots team, and never did all year.

I believed in the 2007 team, and still would if they played those Giants again. This year's run has pretty much been a fluke.

If the line is even or in the Patriots favor, I'm betting a lot of money against them.

2012-01-22 11:08:13 PM
I can't believe the Niners lost purely because of a lack of Ted Ginn, Jr. I did not see that coming.

2012-01-22 11:08:25 PM
Beautiful win.

Gronk scares me, but what the hell.

Eli played like a goddamn man. He gets the universal fan pass as far as I'm concerned.

2012-01-22 11:10:25 PM
My prediction for the spread and over/under:
Patriots by 4, over/under 50

And remember, folks, Vegas always wins:

Super Bowl futures update (new window, published before today's games)

The Giants have won and covered four straight, outscoring their opponents 121-50. If they go on to win it all, it will be the worst of the four possible outcomes for books' Super Bowl futures. A few bettors hold 80-to-1 Giants tickets; more have the Giants in the 60-to-1 to 30-to-1 range. But, as usual, Super Bowl futures cashed for the books. They wrote boatloads of worthless tickets on the Packers, Saints, Steelers and more.

"We were taking big bets on everybody except the Jaguars, basically," Kornegay said. "We don't have any VCUs out there, that's for sure."

MGM Mirage sportsbook manager Jeff Stoneback said only the Lions could have caused a loss on Super Bowl futures. "The Giants would be our smallest winner, then the 49ers," he said.

I'm super pumped after that game. What a nerve wracking experience. I couldn't take much more. I can't wait for this game. GO BIG BLUE!!

Also, I feel awful for Kyle Williams. Bless his heart, he's got to be the sickest man in America. I hope he can shake it off.

Good game Niners, add me to the list of folks happy to see you guys up near the head of the class again. That said, my in-laws are all from Lawn Guyland, so it has to be the Giants for us... nothin' personal, it's just business.

Now, with the Patriots? Can't stand those smug farkers. Tom Coughlin and his Football Giants are coming back to haunt your dreams, Tom Brady.

/can't wait for the Superb Owl
//GO GIANTS!!!

I can see it now. "The patriots win the super bowl!" "Yeah? Well 18-1."

football in the groin had a football in the groin

if eli wins, is he the better manning? or do peytons superior regular season stats boost him?

totally, Giants beat them soundly in the regular season, and they've been lucky to get this far - not to mention Brady has been inconsistent this year - they win but they win ugly a lot, i'd be surprised if New England wins by more than a field goal if they win at all (they have a lot of work to do)

I think Peyote takes it due to his hallucinogenic properties

Their defensive secondary is porous at best. And Eli can throw the ball as well as anyone.

Generation_D: Rest of country: yawn.

Are you out of your mind? If the Giants win Eli has two rings and no one can argue about him being among the elite QB's in the NFL. And let's not forget the rematch angle.

2012-01-22 11:14:23 PM
Just played "Eli's Coming" for my Patriot friends, who all replied "that'll haunt my dreams for the next two weeks."

Class act in Eli Manning. Good for him.
