would require a lot of touch but no special tricks

That's what makes the NHL All Star game/competitions so awesome. Everyone understands they aren't playing real hockey. So instead of playing some kind of half speed game where everyone mails it is, it basically becomes a "screw around with impunity" weekend and everyone tries weird stuff like this. It's not hockey, but it is a good show.
