The only reason RON PAUL isn't the winner is because the liberal media have conspired to keep people from knowing that he's actually more liberal than Obama who is just Bush lite. The republicans are in on it because they want to lose so they can blame Obama for their own farkups of the past decade.

This. There have been two primaries and a caucus, and a different winner for each. This election kind of looks like this year's race for AFC West champion.

I've had my money on Obama since the start of this campaign cycle.

Romney and Paul are their best chance and I doubt they can bring Obama down. Paul's too radical to gain the moderate vote or any liberal votes and Romney just doesn't have what it takes.

Newt and Frothy would give Obama a landslide.

It doesn't matter anymore, the only people left in the race are clowns that Obama will demolish. In fact Romney may have the best chance out of the people who are left.

Don't forget, there'll be nearly 3 Billion dollars spent on this election. That kind of money could even make a doofus like me seem like a plausible candidate.

Pop quiz: How much money did Ronald Reagan raise for his 1980 campaign?

Answer: None. It was publicly financed.

I called it in 2008 after the last election. I posted in Fark that the economy would not rebound significantly and he would still win a second term.

Senator John Edwards, a charismatic southerner, scored a convincing victory in the South Carolina primary last night, boosting his hopes of mounting a strong challenge for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Exit polls and early results indicated that he had claimed a comfortable win, pushing the frontrunner, Sen John Kerry, the Vietnam war hero and veteran politician, into second place and leaving the other contenders far behind. With a third of the votes counted Mr Edwards had 45 per cent, against 29 per cent for Mr Kerry.

Nope, not a single parallel here. That's just crazy talk.

While that is true in general desperately needs to be changed, it really doesn't help the Republican nominees in this case. Obama collected a record amount for his campaign in 2008, and will likely crush the Republicans in the money race once again (and that's even with Hollywood boycotting him because of his stance of SOPA).

I'm not saying your angle's not 100% accurate other than it being D instead of R. Though I am saying that acting like Romney's entire campaign is toast because he lost one primary out of the two they've had, and lost a caucus he was named winner in due to a recount, is pretty retarded.

We'll find out after the Republicans pick a candidate. Once it's a 1-to-1 race, donors will know who to give money to. The Citizens United ruling ads a fun twist. What if a single individual who is worth $100 Billion decides to give one billion to a candidate? Something like that could happen this year.

Even that wouldn't help now. PACs aren't technically part of a campaign. They are groups of private citizens expressing their opinion. Publicly funded elections would not stop the storm of advertising they can produce.

Right because making abortion "murder", allowing states to ban all homosexual acts, defining federally marriage is between a man and a woman, allowing states to make official religions is "LEFT" of Obama.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't South Carolina an open primary? Which would mean that it's possible that it wasn't just conservatives voting for Newt.

Obama isn't against SOPA. This is part of his Chicago lying ways. He'll put it on hold now and then allow it to be added to a military funding or school funding program. Similar to how he signed a law allowing indefinite incarcerations of US citizens without due process. Or after the election he will say fark you and just sign the law against the will of the people. Yeah, I'm thinking troll. Obama signed it because Congress had a veto-proof majority, and the last thing he needed politically was a veto override by Congress, especially on a military spending bill. He also said he would never use it, and by the time it is tested by a future president, he'll have SCOTUS stacked with a bunch of young liberal OTW females that will shiat-can it where it belongs.

If Obama had any balls at all he'd have all the congresscritters that were responsible for that being put into law arrested as terrorists and indefinitely detained.

At least we didn't have Hillary in the white house, who would have signed it, said the same thing, and use it to imprison people who set radio stations in rental cars to be on the Rush Limbaugh show when her staffers got in them.
