LemSkroob: Giants had to play an extra game, then go through SF and GB. Meanwhile, the Pats had to play fakeJesus and a green Ravens team.

Giants are ready for battle. Dont know if the Pats are as well worn-in.

the Giants should be favored this time around, the Pats had a hard time beating the Ravens

that said they lost to the Giants in the regular season, whereas the Giants typically do really well against teams in the postseason they lost to, and the ravens win was so ugly + plus the memory of losing last time is so great = the patriots should be well motivated, so it should be a close game

rematches are fun for this reason: nobody is guaranteed anything, not even the "destiny" G-men

fat aristotle: Funny to think that he was absolutely on the hot seat earlier this year.

To some people he was, but watching the Giants earlier this year they were just out of synch, wasn't his fault. And it's not easy to fix mistakes when you can't tell what's a matter of being out of synch and what's a screw up because of other causes.

And the #1 and #2 offenses by points(#1 and #3 by yards) went home before this round.

I think the simple fact the Ravens and Niners were one game away from the SB and both lost by three points should get rid of the dumb notion that you can't play defense anymore.

meh, the Giants were so banged up Coughlin's seat was never in jeopardy realistically, he was more at risk for getting fired after the giants choked that game against the eagles away (when they went 10-6)

How the fark is that showboating?

He took the ball to the knee early in 4Q because he was too close to the ball when he had no business being there, unless being on camera is your business. The second time, he should have covered that ball up or not advanced it - every bit of it was stupid.

I don't mind it. People say Knickerbockers and Metropolitans occasionally. I like the tradition. But it's not said nearly as frequently as "Football Giants."

I can't imagine what analogy you would've used if my Steelers had made it all the way, lol. ;) But hey, your guys played a pretty big role in making sure that didn't happen, so like I said earlier, the Ravens have nothing to be ashamed of. Heartbreaker of a game for sure, but one hell of a season, and I don't doubt that you'll be back in the running again next year. (Of course my guys will do everything they can to prevent that from happening, lol, but we both know that's never going to be an easy job.) :) I know it probably doesn't mean much right now (or maybe ever, coming from me, lol), but congrats on a great season, and I'll be looking forward (nervously) to watching our teams play again next year. Cheers.

nvmac: Thanks. Yeah, it was a pretty good first year for Harbaugh. I feel bad for the punt returner, two turnovers, that will hurt him for awhile. I feel better about Alex though, he's looking like a Championship QB now. I just wish he'd learn to throw on the run and he could have all the right stuff.

Thanks again!

Yeah, I think you guys are going to be fine. :) Wouldn't be surprised if you made it back to the big game within the next few years, honestly.

/and you're very welcome. :) Thank *you* for your generosity, and for being cool and classy and generally fun to chat with. :)

Honestly I'd probably be too pissed to be interviewed after that ending too. He's probably trying to resist choking Williams.

I HATE Giants fans
I HATE Tom Brady and Bill and their dynasty

I was wrong with all my Super Bowl picks

Eagles/Steelers NOPE
Packers/Steelers NOPE
Niners/Ravens NOPE

Now I gonna farking see Super Bowl XLII 1500 times on the NFL Network! I don't care if it'll be a good game, I'm not invested in either team because my hatred of both of them are clear. Maybe it's the Eagles fan in me or I hate their fans, but now, I could give 2 farks about this year's Super Bowl!

Gotta say this about the 49ers: they'll be a force for years to come if they keep playing like that.

Good game to the 49ers; if they'd won there would've been no complaining from me. They would've earned it.

You know I haven't watched the Pro Bowl in many years. I think I'll give it a go this time around. Assuming there's a thread for it, I'll see some of you there, maybe.
