People are gonna be unhappy at work tomorrow. As a Chicago fan at heart, I'll take pleasure in their shared misery.

2012-01-22 10:43:57 PM
Giants had to play an extra game, then go through SF and GB. Meanwhile, the Pats had to play fakeJesus and a green Ravens team.

Giants are ready for battle. Dont know if the Pats are as well worn-in.

I want the Giants to win solely to watch Bill Simmons commit public suicide.

TheManofPA: At least for Williams, he lives in San Fran which isn't as murdertastic as Baltimore.

That is true.

Can we make it a law that Peyton has to stand on the field for the entire game and cheer enthusiastically no matter which team wins?

And if he wins, he cements his status as an elite quarterback. And then it's just a matter of staying healthy for a few more seasons and he goes to the Hall of Fame.

hell ya

57,000 words minimum
one gloating post at a time

for months

Don't really see the Patriots doing in Indy what they couldn't in foxboro though

Good game giants fans. I'm going to drink until I blackout, and I hope I wake up in SF having slapped kyle williams in his stupid face.

HEY PATRIOTS...

Lt. Cheese Weasel: One game left. 4 maybe 5 Dog Forts left. It's all almost over. *sniff*....

Pats should win, but gints D is pretty salty. My FFL team has life with 3 multipliers left. Gonna be a long two farking weeks until this is done.

I put in all giants and pats betting on this outcome (except I let Baltimore stay for the multiplier). Don't think I'll end up on top but makes it more interesting for me.

You just have to stop running into the "team of destiny" every year (seriously, Arizona, Green Bay, and now New York? That's shiatty luck),

- me, calling the Giants as the NFC team of destiny team back on January 9th after the game against the Falcons.

IAmRight: Ummm can we wait until New York does something more than beat Atlanta before we call them the team of destiny? They weren't even the "team of destiny" of the day.

- someone else in the same thread, questioning my foresight.

Suck it. This was the match-up I wanted to see as soon as the playoffs were set. The game is in Indy, and I wanted to see a Manning beat a Brady.

Robert1966: Ah! The five trophies thing isn't a factor for me. That was so long ago that it doesn't feel like the same organization, really. I adopted the Giants as my second team when I was living in NYC. And they obliged by beating the Pats in the Owl.

MAY THEY DO SO AGAIN!

It's not so much the five trophies as the possibility of getting a sixth, you know what I mean? ;)

And yeah, I'd be thrilled if they beat NE in the SB again. I felt dirty enough even sort of rooting for those bastards this afternoon, lol, so I'm hoping I won't have to do it again. :)

Wow...two insane games that each come down to the last seconds (literally), all leading up to a Super Bowl that I officially don't give one solitary fark about!

Patriots-Giants? Kind of like seeing Hitler and Bin Laden square off in a steal cage death math to decide who becomes the ruler of the earth. No matter which one wins, we're still all screwed.

/Go commercials!

becksellent: nvmac: Well, I'm done. I might not watch the Super Bowl, I farking hate the Pats and right now feel pretty crappy about the *rematch* of the *elite* QBs. Maybe in two weeks, I'll feel better. At least good enough to share comments and fun with you nice folks. I wish both the Giants and Pats could lose, but then, someone has to win.

See ya later.

/What a shiatty way to end it

*hugs* I may have been rooting for the Giants in this game, but you and a lot of the other Niners fans on this board are such cool people that I feel kind of bad. :-/

I doubt it'll help any right now, but if it makes you feel any better at all, I'm almost certain SF will come back even stronger next year. Jim Harbaugh's one hell of a coach and there's a lot of talent for him to work with on that team, you know?

/as for this year, well...there's always the Puppy Bowl I guess, right?

Thanks. Yeah, it was a pretty good first year for Harbaugh. I feel bad for the punt returner, two turnovers, that will hurt him for awhile. I feel better about Alex though, he's looking like a Championship QB now. I just wish he'd learn to throw on the run and he could have all the right stuff.

Thanks again!

Coughlin is now a Hall of Famer and Eli is now elite, regardless of the SB outcome.

'04 draft now has 5 Super Bowl appearances (0 for Rivers btw) , and they're still young
