degenerate-afro: Yeah, I mentioned that there was no one to replace him yet. The thing the need to worry about the most in the draft is a new center if Birk is retiring. Then they can work on ILB and Safety to take over for Reed and Lewis for after they wind down.

I said this during the second quarter: their first 3 picks in the draft need to be offensive linemen. I mean, unless some unbelievable talent falls to them (a la Terrell Suggs), that needs to be the gameplan.

By the way, it doesn't count because I wasn't here to post it but I totally called that fumble on the kickoff.

Sad news from the locker room. Cundiff tried to kill himself in the locker room after the loss. Apparently he got a rope, tied a noose, threw it over a beam in the locker room, and got up on a chair. He put the noose around his neck and then kicked the chair out from under himself. Luckily, he missed wide left.

Strahan wanted to wear his old jersey underneath?

CUNDIFF YOU COCK. The Baltimore D more than lived up to the hype; Joe Flacco not only showed up but turned clutch; and the O-line managed to keep Wilfork and the rest of a very big and very fast Pats defensive front away from Joe for most of the game. 52 of the 53 players on that team did what they had to do- and when faced with a damn-near gimme chip shot, the 53rd guy turned into David Carradine at the last second.

Well Pats, we gave it to you, might as well enjoy it.

So with the anthem be butchered more/less for this game than it was by Steven Tyler for the first game?

Well, I'm out guys. I'll be cheering for the 49ers, but I need to do something other than watch football for a while. I may be back later (not that anyone would notice) :)

Dired: So, seriously - why is Frank Caliendo on TV? I mean, who could possibly be the target audience? I'm really confused here.

Maybe they think we love to hate him?

A couple years ago during the MLB playoffs on TBS he actually ran an add about how annoying his constant frank TV ads were.

Who's singing the National Anthem for this game? Jeff Garcia?

Okay, who ate all the dip?

Harv72b: I want to make one point, and one point only about that game:

Joe Flacco won it. He won't get a single bit of credit for that during the coming weeks, but he won the farking the game. He can't force his receivers to hold onto the ball in the end zone, and he can't force his kicker to make the field goal for OT either. Great game by Joe, great season overall, and we will be back in 2012 (assuming the Mayans were wrong).

Congrats Patriots fans. Good game.

Hey Harv, for your sake I'm sorry things didn't turn out differently - you're a cool dude, and although I don't exactly like your team, lol, I do respect them. And yes, that includes Flacco - like I've said before, he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Maybe he's not "elite" (whatever that means, anyway), but I believe he's definitely more capable than people think. Congrats on a good game and a great season (although fark you for beating my guys twice, anyway :P), and we'll see you next year. :)

/for revenge, I hope! ;)

Cannot... hate... Pats. I lost my aunt to lung cancer at the start of the season. She was a huge Jets fan. The wake was on a Sunday, and many of the mourners expressed their hope that they might have a good season in her memory, but you can see how that turned out. So as much as I'd like to see the Giants win it all, if they don't, I will be happy for your mom.

I'm more than a little bit nervous that we'll both be chasing the Bengals next season.

/Time to root for the last Harbaugh standing.
//They'll never admit, but it somewhere in the deep recesses of their minds, their parents breathed a little sigh of relief when that kick went wide.

phimuskapsi: Pray 4 Mojo: Seriously... is nobody gonna acknowledge that Cundiff was SPRINTING onto the field with 12 seconds left on the play clock?? Of course he missed it... use a freaking timeout Harbaugh!!

What the hell was going on over on that sideline... was Cundiff taking a piss or something. That was high school stuff.

I said this a little before you. He didn't get to the ball till 7-9 seconds left on the play clock. WTF took him almost 40 seconds to get out there? I mean...seriously?

I simply can't fathom that you and I are the only two mother farkers that noticed that. That was a HUGE fark up. They cut to the iso-view of the kicker which was him sprinting onto the field, and I KNEW he was going to miss it. Same thing as rushing a golfer and taking him out of his routine. Harbaugh is a freaking moron for not calling timeout when he (should have) noticed Cundiff wasn't in the huddle and ready to go.

Anyway... good eye... apparently everybody else is stupid.
