Dana Carvey, asked by a TMZ dipshiat, responds to a question about Wayne's World 3.

2012-01-21 08:29:54 PM
He was on Live with Kelly Ripa on Friday, that must've netted him bus fare to Aurora at least....

2012-01-21 08:43:19 PM
At this point, he'd probably also do a sh*tty Church Lady movie if they paid him to do it.

2012-01-21 08:59:49 PM
I don't know why everyone thinks the guy is broke. The royalties from Master of Disguise will keep him in the lap of luxury until he dies.

2012-01-21 09:01:03 PM
Poor guy. It's kind of sad to see someone so talented brought down by Opportunity Knocks, Blank Slate and Master of Disguise.

2012-01-21 09:02:47 PM
Mike Meyers could throw him a bone, give him a part in one of his Austin Powers suckfests.

2012-01-21 09:17:30 PM
Too late for anyone to care, Dana.

2012-01-21 09:17:38 PM
DENIED

Dana isn't hard up for money.

Yeah, Adam Sandler did it for Rob and all other buds. What could go wrong?

Austin Powers. That might not technically be based on an SNL sketch but it sure had the "one note character stretched out into a full length movie or three (and it looks like four) stench to it.

2012-01-21 09:36:10 PM
Well, when he won his lawsuit for his botched heart surgery, he could afford to give his awarded money to charity. But that was, what...15 years ago?? Jesus.

That wouldn't be ppprudent,Dana.

I have an idea. How about a Wayne and Garth vs Bill and Ted?

2012-01-21 10:12:42 PM
There's a hell of a difference between 'I want to do Wayne's World 3' and 'If someone asks me to do Wayne's World 3, I'd be up for it'

He said the latter trollmitter.

2012-01-21 10:14:23 PM
he needs to do a remake of the nutty professor, perhaps he could play an entire family in that movie.

I consider myself fortunate to have seen only one of them in its entirety.

Get of Dana's back. His career wasn't brought down by a few bad movies; he almost died from a botched heart operation. He was in poor health for a long while.

2012-01-21 11:48:17 PM
celebritynetworth.com pegs his fortune at around $28mm. In comparison Mike Myers has $175mm, but I think I could manage to scrape by with $28,000,000 in the bank.

Goin' to the club, gotta work out, work out

/I still find it kind of crazy that was from the first episode of that era
//So many great sketches that night from Alienses, Choppin' Broccoli, and the first Church Lady
///86-91 was a fantastic era of SNL...though 91-94 was pretty awesome too

Hell anyone living pay check to paycheck could live on 1 million in the bank off the interest alone.

No kidding. The usual Fark know-it-alls are here to tell us that Dana's a has-been due to lack of talent. I wonder how those renaissance men get a moment's rest as they jump from one fulfilling, enriching project to another.

Not that Harry Shearer didn't do a fine job, but I think it would've been cool if Dana Carvey had done George Bush's voice on that one Simpsons episode.

I have the DVD of the Dana Carvey Show, which also has Stephen Colbert and Steve Carrell. Have only watched a little bit of it while I was involved in other things, i.e., sleeping. What I remember, though, was half-way decent.

Carvey made Bush 41 likable with a sense of humor; Shearer played Bush as a cranky old man, which worked for the episode (he was Mr. Wilson to Bart's Dennis the Menace).

Yeah, true. I guess my problem with Bush on the Simpsons is that he was a little too similar-sounding to Ned Flanders. They even made a joke about it during the episode.

Frankly, it's not one of my favorites.

And, hey--cranky old man?! You think Dana Carvey can't do a cranky old man?!

Indeed. Carvey is very talented and entertaining, just made a few bad decisions.

I would go see Wayne's World 3. I enjoyed the first two, and I think it'd be funny to see Wayne and Garth in their 40s and 50s, still broadcasting their show (on YouTube now instead of public access television ).

/I was in a place like this once. Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, and I needed one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night...

I'd rather see him do an Operaman movie first

I agree, they could pull this off as a couple of middle age losers to new realities.

Operaman was Sandler.

Dana Thomas Carvey is an American actor and stand-up comedian; he has a net worth of $28 million. Dana Carvey has built his net worth from movie roles like Garth in the Wayne's World movies. He gained popularity when he became of member of the cast of NBC's Saturday Night Live (SNL) cast. Carvey's character The Church Lady help pull SNL out of its ratings slump. Born in Missoula, Montana, his parents were both schoolteachers.

I can't decide if this sounds more like Cliff Clavin or a 4th grader's term paper: "And that is why Dana Thomas Carvey is the person I admire most."
