Plus he's on Fulham, which isn't one of the clubs with a huge international fan base compared to Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal. I personally think it's great that an American did it, but wasn't aware that nobody had done it already.

Same here, I'm a casual soccer fan. I enjoy the game but I don't follow it like I do the NBA or college football. Still, good on him.

And its not surprising that its never been done before most soccer scores I have seen barely have 3 goals the whole game. Unless its world cup and the shiatty teams are playing.

As a Canadian I'm probably supposed to hate American players by association, but Dempsey is a great player. He's had a nice season and I'm wondering whether a bigger team might be interested in him.

USA mens national team had a great 1-0 win over Venezuela.

Its a shock that any of you believe I give a shiat, its the internet not real life and none of this matters. Soccer still sucks though, as evidenced by the whopping 20 or so posts on such a rare soccer achievement.

Still it must burn your asses that I'm still more open minded than anyone else here, most of fark is too closed off to listen to other opinions or admit you are wrong.

Good on Dempsey. We need more players with his kind of skill on the National Team.
