Probably. A friend's kitten was seen chewing on an electrical cord - "Don't worry. She'll learn", they said. She bit through, did the kitty-been-tazed-bro dance, and was chewing away again in less than five minutes.

They ended up covering all the cords in the house with duct tape and chili powder. And I'm pretty sure they replaced the cat a few times, too.

I'll bet that smelled like a bouquet of roses.

Unless the cat was on a grounded surface, no effects to the cat.. other than the wrath of the homeowner....

One of my parents' cats had a thing for pissing on electrical appliances. The microwave, the toaster, the stove elements, the control panel of the washing machine, etc. Washing machine panel eventually corroded to the point someone was electrocuted while doing laundry one day.

He doesn't pee in it, but my cat did used to reach inside the toaster (only when it was off, as far as I know) and pull small metal components out and play with them. The toaster started smelling like burning electronics, so it had to be replaced. He doesn't have access to the new toaster.

/old toaster was like 20 years old anyway

weasil: Pissing into an outlet is the only reason I've ever had to take a cat to the animal shelter and give it up for adoption. I felt really bad having to check the "not housetrained" box, knowing it would probably doom the little guy. Better him than the entire apartment building, though.

Seems like evolution in action. I brought my cat home at about 6 weeks. She found a plastic grocery bag and peed on that. I picked her up and put her in the litter box and she's been peeing and pooping there ever since - even if I get lazy and let the litter go far too long between changes.

Huskadoodle: None of my dogs ever pissed/pooped on my toaster, VCR or my slippers. Chewed my slippers and soiled the carpet, but the VCR and toaster were ruined by my kids. BTW, my kids might have soiled a carpet too.

1. Create the Squirt Module: 1 squirty device, rigged from various gardening and chemistry devices, connected to 1 squirty device triggering servo-thingy (I am so not an engineer) triggered by 1 motion-sensing thingy-device.

2. Place several squirt modules around living room, strategically dipped below one eye located near kitty no-go zones.

3. Attach little thingitty to kitty's collar. Put kitty in living room.

4. Push magic button that makes the squirt modules wake up and look for the little thingitty.

5. Watch as squirty things home in on naughty kitty and hit him from like nine different places because nobody thought about how sensitive to make the sensors.

6. Watch kitty almost crap himself trying to leave the room as he is hit by dozens of salvos of terror-fluid from all directions, his humans unable to help him because they are all under some kind of catnip-like spell that makes them clutch their sides with their forepaws while they roll on the floor and bark and pee from their eyes.

7. Not see soggy kitty for three days. Seriously discuss talking to patent attorneys.

I need that for my dog. He pees on stuff. I am not even kidding, I would pay upwards of $100 for that.

I'm sure he'd still pee on stuff. But I wouldn't care, because I would be too busy laughing.

My dog pissed on the girlfriends cat once.

That didn't go over too well. With them.

The dog and I thought it was pretty funny though.

My dog pees on my other dog regularly. At obedience school, in front of everyone else, he tried to pee on me (I dodged) and then successfully peed on my mom. I thought the trainer was going to have a heart attack, she was laughing so hard.

Sounds like kitty is not too happy with someone.
