I forgot how much I missed the star field background. Wow...just wow.

All this needs is a few 'under constrction' animated gifs and the dripping blood section dividers and full win will be achieved.

That book looks like it should be the cover for a prog rock album from the 70's.

And one of those "E-mail" animated .gifs with the quill and the scroll, or the envelope flying away. Such a classic.

This is going to be a fun 10 months

meh, when is the GOP convention?
when do the rest of the candidates drop out and pull behind romney?

As soon as the serious (serious? ROFL) candidates drop out, EVERYONE will just love Romney.
All the attack ads will be from DEM super PACS.

Strangely enough, around that time, the GOP will start complaining about how TERRIBLE super PACs are, esp since they allow faceless people to attack the True Americans(tm)

as someone who used to be able to make a geocities webpage, I'd just like to say I could have done better than that.

Oh my.

Mormonism's Temple of Doom (new window)

by Willliam Schnoebelen and James S. Spencer

The unholy mixture of Magick arts into the ceremonies of Mormonism and Freemasonry belie their roots. Every Good and Perfect gift comes from God. Mystical and Magickal routes are always dead end. When will we learn to heed the apostle Paul's warning that Satan can masquerade as an "angel of light?" (II Cor. 11:15)

An arcane student has noted that those who seek power or knowledge through forbidden channels ultimately discover they are unable to control the forces they unleash. "Those who employ ceremonial magic, do so largely with the hope of securing knowledge or su-pernatural power.. . but man, incapable of controlling [even] his own appetites, is not equal to the task of governing the fiery and tempestuous elemental spirits."

The systems of Mormonism, Magick, and Masonry purport to lead men to genuine worship of God. These systems, however, are not God's constructions; rather, they are Temples of Doom.

Temple of Doom! Freemasons! MAGICK!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

Yeah, it's like a philosophical bum fight; and no matter who loses, the rest of us win.

platedlizard: The systems of Mormonism, Magick, and Masonry purport to lead men to genuine worship of God. These systems, however, are not God's constructions; rather, they are Temples of Doom.

All religions are based on magic where they give a system of influencing the supernatural causation of events, such as by praying.

Masonry is in part based on Catholic Church rituals and in part of the secret Gnostic tradition, and it is full of magic.

Mormonism does borrow much from Masonry as well as Christianity in general but not directly from Catholic Church.

The foundation of many "modern" religious groups is some rationalization of how God is not magical and "real magic" comes from Satan.
