Well handled, but one does hope that the person with the cell phone was more directly admonished at some point, either during or after the performance.

Wow, awesome timing with the cell phone ringing just as he finished the piece he was playing.

This is definitely not some shiatty viral marketing by Nokia.

I hope not, since all it does is remind me of how much I hate their ringtone.

not sure if it was a Nokia plant but it did come off as a set-up gimmick. still pretty cool.

Isn't the nokia ringtone itself a piece of classical music?

It's from some old classical guitar piece. All they did was add one note to the end of it if I recall correctly.

/I'm not taking credit for it. Saw it on "Q.I." It's supposed to be the most listened to piece of classical music of all time now because of it being a ringtone.

From the look on his face, tis a cute piece of petty revenge. Me doesn't think it being a setup since I would pull this kind of stunt when playing music if someone screwed with the concert that way...

Nokia ringtone is actually a bit of Classical music trifecta now in play?

I wonder if fake because of the old ringtone, but this is still funny!

As with Top Gear's DVD releases, QI is severely ham-stringed by the massive amounts of copyrighted material they use and for which they receive only BBC-specific licensing. To release a DVD outside of BBC airing, they need to re-apply for rights to every single piece of intellectual property all over again for every area in which they plan to release the DVD.

Of course, they will not choose to pay for American IP rights prices for ALL the IP shown on the shows, so songs will be replaced by studio bands (or removed completely) and images too expensive to re-license will be replaced (or their pertinent scenes removed completely).

This is why the DVD releases of Top Gear are shiate, it's why QI DVD releases will be shiate, and why piracy will still be the best option for the non-BBC viewing of these shows.

/QI is one of the best television shows in the history of television.

The look of contempt on the violinist face at the end doesn't appear to be part of the "setup", if it was a setup.

Until that moment, i was willing to call setup.

You're suggesting the violinist was part of it because he made a convincing face?

I'm impressed because he plays viola rather than violin and got solo time.

Jewish and plays "the gypsy instrument", man the Aryans gonna hate that guy.

Conductor should have ended the concert then and there.
"Sorry, the ignorant douchebag with the cell phone spoiled it. The concert is over. Put the spotlight on him, please. You can all thank him on your way out. Good evening."
