No, I meant optimistic in that you thought your post would be before the start of the stupidity.

Issa is trying to make a perjury trap here.

Issa has said he is going after the Obama administration if they are guilty or NOT. He has said this.

Why would you play in their BS game of trying to make you commit perjury. That's all he is doing.

These same tactics were used under Bush, evidence shows Holder and Obama did not know these tactics were being used until after the fact. All this is is a witchhunt.

You were pretty unspecific. My point is that the DoJ (or people inside it) is not entirely blameless, and the DoJ is one of the commonly cited culprits in this thing.

Which they already know were not informed about these tactics. But the reality of that is not stopping Issa from trying to pretend others are guilty.

Besides is there anything unlawful about what they did in the first place? Sting operations are not illegal.

Patrick J. Cunningham informed the House Oversight Committee late Thursday through his attorney that he will use the Fifth Amendment protection.
At least Cunningham isn't such a coward that he shows up but interminably bleats, "I don't recall."

Sure, the DoJ supervised the whole thing. They need to be looked at to see exactly what they knew and when. The guys specifically RUNNING the program also need to be looked at, for sure, some of them will probably end up on charges.

My point, though it wasn't clear to you, was about the "Blame everything on Obama specifically and personally" crowd that shows up every time Fast and Furious is brought up. Or anything, actually...

DOJ should run a sting where they dump a bootleg version of TDKR all over the internet months before it's released, then completely lose track of all the copies.

I'm sure the IP Cartel could invent some deaths figures due to infringement. Think of all those foley artists that committed suicide due to lack of work.

Pleading the 5th: pretty good evidence you're hiding shiat you don't want people to know about.

Pleading the 5th when you're the Chief of the Criminal Division of a US Attorney's Office: damning evidence that you've done something either illegal or so unethical that it would end your career if it were to become public.

Hiring Williams & Connolly as your attorneys: bulletproof evidence that you're just the tip of the iceberg.

I know Tobin Romero. I know his rates. And government attorneys cannot afford them. Shiat's gettin' real.
