Biden wrapped up his speech by urging students to "challenge authority"
Challenging authority by not evacuating during a wildfire may not be the best example, Joe

He actually was putting that entire audience at risk, since nobody else can leave until the Secret Service is content their protectee is safe.

I'm local to the fire (about 30 minutes south) and neither Biden or the crowd were in any danger. They did evacuate the school's area several hours later but at that point there wasn't anything for them to worry about. I'm sure the Secret Service let whoever wanted to leave, go. And yeah, I'm mainly glad he didn't do something like cancel or run at the first sign of smoke.

Makes sense.. it's not like any community is just going to let their school burn down.
