This was the hardest thing I've ever been involved with, next to my Father's illness and funeral. The cat shaped hole in my heart feels like it is about to burst.

I want to celebrate Barclay's life, and what he has meant to us. He was the most loyal cat and gave us almost 18 years of unconditional love.
It was time to let him go, no more pain.

I along with many others here have had to face that same painful decision. Our Hearts are all with you and your family!

Glad the week's over. It's been a frigid week here (not above -20) and all of the crazies came to Mordor to bug me.

I'm so sorry for everyone's losses this week. Lots of older cats going. I've been ownerless for months now. My lease isn't up until July, so I content myself with neighbor cats and Caturday.

Oh, Lawdy! I haven't been involved in anything like tennis for a very long time, photoshop or real. Just let me remind you that the kids are not off limits. I don't care and Mrs. Moose doesn't Fark.

I want to celebrate Barclay's life, and what he has meant to us. He was the most loyal cat and gave us almost 18 years of unconditional love. What more could we ask for? We've spent the last 2.5 months cherishing the time we had left. It was time to let him go, no more pain.

I may not be around much the weekend, but I know there will be hugs sent my way. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Got off of the phone, my old kitty back home passed away today. I was scared I was going to have to make the decision for her but she went to sleep this afternoon and never woke up. Mom said she curled up on her last night, must have been her way of saying good bye. She was the last of my Christmas kitties, Blitzen passed a couple of years ago and Ferret (don't ask) was almost 4 years ago.

Would post a picture but they're all on mom's computer.

I missed this on the first pass....I'm sorry about your kitty. Like lysdexic said, "I'm so sorry for everyone's losses this week. Lots of older cats going."

I know it doesn't make it any easier, but we should also seek some comfort in the fact that they shared their full, happy lives with us.

If you miss your pet when they go, take real comfort in the fact that you loved them enough to miss them, so you loved them enough to make their lives better. That's the best thing you can do for anyone, pet or friend or family.

lolololol that song is a joke between my mom and i.... when i was a very small child she'd sing this song to me and i never believed her that it was a real.... and since it was before the internet or even CD era (stop laughing, im young) she had no way to prove it until one time we were on a road trip and had switched to some terrible rural MN radio station and the song came on. probably the hardest i've ever laugh/cried in my life.

/i also REFUSED to believe that scary liza minelli was the daughter of beautiful dorothy (aka judy garland) ... before the internet, i don't know how parents used to ever prove their kids wrong ;)
