Thank you to sherpa for the caption of all our farking snow! Some of my friends came over and shoveled us out today. So very thankful for their help, since I can't do that much shoveling! I'm technically off restrictions, but the small amount of snow I shoveled hurt quite a bit. Maybe tomorrow I'll get a few bowlfuls of snow for the kittehs. Lars LOVES to eat snow!

Oh, I forgot to ask Catmandu how she did it too! Mine was done while carving a roast for dinner with my sister, her husband and two youngest kids (teenagers). I was in the kitchen and guess it got kind of quiet. Hubby asked "everything ok in there"? I said well no, that I had cut my hand. He asked if it was deep and I answered "well, I can see tendons. Guess I better go and get stitches."

I can't possibly imagine what it must be like!
We just started getting freezing rain and all the kittehs are getting frozen in place! I must help your Aunt Fallopia get them all unstuck and into the barn so they can be milked and sheared in the morning. So it may take a while before I can get someplace to withdraw the money to send.

We don't have any Western Union offices anywhere near.
The police shut them down because of all the internet scammers cheating people.
Can I use Northern Union instead? Would that work?

What about the Merkin Trade Show? Were you able to retain all your samples??
What about your new Echidna model. Tell me they didn't get that too!
Oh, I feel so bad for you!

This was the hardest thing I've ever been involved with, next to my Father's illness and funeral. The cat shaped hole in my heart feels like it is about to burst.

I want to celebrate Barclay's life, and what he has meant to us. He was the most loyal cat and gave us almost 18 years of unconditional love. What more could we ask for? We've spent the last 2.5 months cherishing the time we had left. It was time to let him go, no more pain.

I may not be around much the weekend, but I know there will be hugs sent my way. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Actually had to go back to the original pic..you are right! How funny. Yes, he is. When he isn't trying to eat me....

I cured Rupert the Brave from Biting Me by Biting him on the ear every time he bit Me. From the time I brought him home he loved to give kisses under my chin and along my jaw. He was only 6 wks old so I thought with this behavior he might have been weaned to early. I started by tapping him on the nose when he bit me to get his attention and let him know that biting was not allowed. When he continued to bite, I told him I would bite him back. So when he would bite I would give him a nip on his ear. He was startled at first and it took about 2 weeks, but he no longer bites me. He still bites Blue but he is mostly trying to get her to chase after him & play...I don't say that this would work for any other kitteh, but it did work for Rupert....

Somebody here advised me to stick my finger in Raven's mouf and press down on her tongue. Took about two weeks for her to quit being a bitey litlle girl.
She still does the 'knuckle sammich gnaw' every so now and then, but the behavior is greatly reduced in frequency and intensity.
Think the fact that she's done teething may have something to do with that however.

My condolences, Yellowcat. We know you tried so hard to get him well, but I guess it was just his time. A cat of 18 is as old as a 88 year old human. A pretty good, long life!

ProTip: always unplug an electric appliance before trying to clean the blades



I was making a new batch of hair conditioner. It was for me, not my Etsy store, so I couldn't even try to claim workman's comp. And yes, the numbing shot hurts but at least I didn't feel anything when they removed most of my nail and put 2 stitches in the nailbed in addition to the other 4 to close up the slices elsewhere on my finger.

lolololol that song is a joke between my mom and i.... when i was a very small child she'd sing this song to me and i never believed her that it was a real.... and since it was before the internet or even CD era (stop laughing, im young) she had no way to prove it until one time we were on a road trip and had switched to some terrible rural MN radio station and the song came on. probably the hardest i've ever laugh/cried in my life.

Ha! I first heard of that song after the release of Weird Al's version, "Jurassic Park". I remember my mom laughing so hard when she heard me playing it.... she had to explain the original song to me. I was all like "huh?!" I couldn't believe someone would write a real song so stupid!

Yeah back then we didn't have much choice but to believe our parents when they told us something was true. You could go to the library and read a bunch of books until you found the answer, but by the time you'd done all that work, the thrill was gone. Besides, if you could actually show your parents in writing that they were wrong, you'd probably get your allowance docked for being such a smart-ass.

Do you have an external hard drive? or a large capacity thumb drive?.. log onto the Picasa account, copy or move the files.. Try Stinger from McAffee.. a one shot AV program.. free download.. also Malware Bytes, another free one.. good for checking out your system.. can find stuff the regular AV missed.. Had a rootkit given to me by a friend with a contaminated thumb drive.. for that one, I had to format the drive and re-install.. recovery would not get it... easiest way is a new HD.. install to that, use the old one as a slave drive and copy your files from it.. the OS on that drive would not be running.. no start files opened.. get your files off, then format.. end of rootkit... just a thought.....

Google might be able to access their database and isolate that file... they don't like hacking either....
