...all three involve me whipping my pecker out?

I sneeze in bright light, it gives me a nice endorphin rush.

2012-01-19 11:41:31 AM
I don't sneeze whenever I have a sexual thought.

However, if I have one while I'm lying in bed before I go to sleep (which is, like, every night), I sneeze.

I'm one of those people who can't just sneeze once. If I'm sneezing, it's a minimum of 5 times guaranteed, but usually like 7 or 8. I've tried controlling it (because of course, I break into sneezing fits during the most inopportune moments) but I can't stop. It's like my reptile brain takes over and decides that sounding like a hamster squealing repeatedly is the best course of action.

Whenever I walk from inside to outside and there's bright sun outside I sneeze.

Bright light, chocolate and having sexual thoughts all make me sneeze to some degree.

Yeah, I'm normally good for two or three sneezes in one sitting, but I can probably get in a fourth or maybe even a fifth given the right set of circumstances.

Wait, what are we talking about?

About one out of every four people has a photic sneeze response, which triggers sneezes when sunlight hits the face. This response goes back not only in evolutionary history, but recorded history as well.

Both my mother and myself are in the club as well. I always get strange looks when coming out of movie theaters.

Summer sunlight, most of the time. Winter sunlight with the sun reflecting off the snow, always.

I sneeze in the sunlight. I used to think I had grass allergies, but then I found out about this nerve-crossing thingy. I also have frequent sneezing fits in the morning. I thought my office venitlation system was dusty, but I changed jobs and I still get it.

At least one person has noted that she sneezes when she eats over seventy-percent cacao chocolate.

I sneeze after eating chocolate. I'm not alone!! I always got funny looks when I would tell people or show people.

My dad, my siblings, and I all do it. We've done it all at the same time, which made my mom laugh at us.

I am also a bright light sneezer. I think it's great actually. You know that feeling when you have to sneeze, but it goes away at the last minute? I don't. I just have to look out the window or even a strong light bulb and- BAM

Me too! Bright light and chocolate are both frequent triggers for me. The wife always buys me some Godiva for Valentine's Day just so I can amuse her with my reactions. I think it's a fair trade.

My dad, brother and I all have the photic sneeze reflex, but my brother goes beyond that. He also sneezes in reaction to strong flavors like mint, or a hoppy IPA.

reminds me of an old joke...

A man and a woman were sitting beside each other in the first class section of an airplane. The woman sneezed, took out a tissue, gently wiped her nose, then visibly shuddered for ten to fifteen seconds. The man went back to his reading. A few minutes later, the woman sneezed again, took a tissue, wiped her nose, then shuddered violently once more. Assuming that the woman might have a cold, the man was still curious about the shuddering. A few more minutes passed when the woman sneezed yet again. As before, she took a tissue, wiped her nose, her body shaking even more than before.
Unable to restrain his curiosity, the man turned to the woman and said, "I couldn't help but notice that you've sneezed three times, wiped your nose and then shuddered violently. Are you OK?"
"I am sorry if I disturbed you, I have a very rare medical condition; whenever I sneeze I have an orgasm."
The man, more than a bit embarrassed, was still curious.
"I have never heard of that condition before," he said. "Are you taking anything for it ?"
The woman nodded, "Pepper."

Chalk me up with the light sneezers, though only sometimes. Most likely to happen when walking from dark indoors into the sunlight on a bright day -- a bright light bulb isn't enough to trigger it.
The light-sneeze is also only ever a single sneeze, whereas usually I'm a double-sneezer (with an occasional, rare third thrown in).

Sneezes, sunlight, and sex
And it doesn't even matter what order you try 'em
'Cause I like 'em all the best

Strange. If I interpret TFA correctly, photic sneezing is a dominant trait and yet my son is a photic sneezer whereas neither Mrs. Dingers nor I are.

Mrs. Dingers is like that too. If I time it properly and yell "Don't sneeze!" at precisely the right moment I can actually cause her to loose the urge. Bugs the crap out of her when I "steal her sneeze".

My little brother always sneezes in the sun. He also sneezes when he's done eating, which is a signal that it's time to make a grab for his french fries.

/I guess it beats a photic fart reflex

Same here, except I always sneeze twice. Had a friend who had the timing down so well he could actually give me a command to sneeze.

Your shnoz and your rod,
Are like peas in a pod.
They both tickle like shiat,
When popping a wad.

One from some fun
And one from a cold
And what they both shoot
is not nice to behold.

Sun sneezer, 3 at a time.
Getting a kick, etc.

When I was younger I would have the sneeze response if looking up at clouds and the sun together. Maybe I just wasn't stupid enough to stare at the sun directly or what?

I've described this to people before and they always look at me like I'm a freak. I just pasted the Wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photic_sneeze_reflex on my Facebook wall and maybe someone that doubted me will see it.

When my wife sneezes there's a pleasant, flowery aroma in the air. It's kind of cool, but it grosses me out a little when I think of what I could be breathing in.
