It's a sad comment on our society when you have to question the integrity of a porn producer.

an idiot down the block who is fully aware of the realities of teh internetz moved money several times through his bank account for some unknown lady in EU. he didn't get taken, but he was directly involved in a money laundering scheme involving paying models that has been written about. way to get on the radar.

same arsehole used to troll for leg on adult forums. i straight out said "Ed you are aware that you are most probably chatting with a guy, right?" and yes, he knew. he knew, and he didn't care.

Pocket Ninja: PIN number, you mean. Jesus, I farking hate typos in headlines.

PIN stands for personal identification number. so PIN number would mean personal identification number number. so me thinks it's correct.

Was going to comment about how stupid a person would have to be to fall for this, but since the article indicates that most didn't fall for it and were forced at gun point to follow through with it, I'll give them a small break.

Of course this begs several questions. First, if the scammers leave the victims after they have deposited the money and handed over their atm card and PIN, wouldn't you immediately call the bank to cancel that card and or change the PIN? Secondly, if you are going to pull a gun on anyone who isn't going to go along with your scam willingly, why bother with it at all? Why not just rob people at an ATM? And how do you charge this once they are busted? Fraud? armed robbery? Is there such a thing as armed fraud?

I'm not falling for that scam again.

If it wasn't a real word why would I have it written on the ceiling?

I don't see how you can draw against an uncleared check without invoking the ire of the bank.

I don't see how you can withdraw $2000 from an ATM.

I don't see how a porn producer can believe he is going to get some backing without showing up with the talent.

Presumably they didn't cancel their ATM card because they believed the scam and thought they were going to get the bogus deposit. Which is why you wouldn't just rob the fools.

You can't trust porn producers on the street that ask for your ATM pin?

Next they will tell me that 15 year old teen on the internet willing to get into a creepy chat with 35 year old men isn't really a teen or a female.

Society is really breaking down.
