CSB: I was on a road trip a couple of years back and driving down the Virginia Eastern Shore, and it seemed like there was a sign for Rigell every 500 feet. It got to the point where all of us in the car were debating how to pronounce his name.

they should add a donation line at the end of the 1040 tax form. that way it would be easy for folks to put their money were their mouth is and pay the higher taxes they support. what's the downside? someone donates? good, we need the money.

I don't think the people we need paying more in taxes use that form.

More impressed by the senator, 15% of his pay versus .0000001% of Buffet's, but well done on both parts.

This. His company owes quite a bit in backtaxes if I remember correctly. And $49,000 to him is like 49 cents to use. Literally.

I'd be more impressed if he used percentage of net worth for the donation. A multi-billionaire matching pretty much anyone's contribution dollar for dollar is laughable.

Warren Buffett writes out check for $49K while army of 2000 tax lawyers fights IRS in millions in owed taxes.

It will cost $100 million billion to print new 1040 forms with the donation line.

yeah, smeone should have challenged buffet to match percentage of wealth forked over. The first challenge was like brontosaurus challenging me to see who can take the bigger shiat. Buffet has got to have a net worth that is 50 times the size of every republican in house and senate combined. Almost any congressman who is worth $1,000,000 could probably comfortably afford to give away 5% of his net worth, which would be $50,000. for Buffet 5% is 2.5 billion.
