bulldg4life: I guess he doesn't have his 25 million reasons to be alive anymore.

He doesn't have many reasons left. He's spent all his reasons recently, and had to beg the court to decrease he child support payments b/c he's running out of reasons, and not playing for reasons in the NFL right now.

Unless he's getting ownership stake by playing, and putting his own cash into the team, I'm sure the judge is going to monitor this situation.

Does the IFL have a Hall of Fame?

Yes, it's in the restroom foyer at the Country Griddle off I-40 in Abaline.

I-20. Sorry. I drove through there about 20 years ago, subsequently confused Abiline with Amarillo.

Sure it's funny and all, but it's going to end poorly for TO. It's a shame that he was never able to find and/or trust the right person to help him overcome his obvious mental issues. And I don't mean he's crazy, I just mean that he had a very difficult childhood and that he had some major trust and abandonment issues that have never been resolved and which played a large part in creating his persona.

Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, didn't return a call seeking comment.

Either the decision is so humiliating that not even Rosenhaus can spin it or T.O. has so little money coming in that he can't be bothered. Awesome.

I don't fell sorry for him at all. And here's why.

Lots and lots of people had tough, messed up childhoods...very few of them ever had access to $70 million. Money doesn't buy happiness...but it makes life easier and can solve a lot of problems. Except one...

TO's biggest problem....which is that he doesn't learn. After the second or third baby momma...maybe he should have done something? Nah...it's not his fault....Maybe after the second or third time he was released becuase no one could stand him he would have learned to just shut his mouth...Nah...I'm TO baby...I need a TV show to show my greatness....

If I'm going to feel sorry for someone...It'll be for someone like JaMarcuss Russell (I'm not saying I do feel sorry, but that it would be someone like him). He got drafted #1 by a terrible team, with a terrible GM/owner who was out of touch with everything....it was just a terrible situation that was (more or less) destined to fail.

Granted, Russel's work ethic and expanding waistline didn't help...but that's not the point. He got one chance, blew it, and is now out of the league (likely forever). No second chance. Never apart of a playoff contending team...never part of a medicore team...

So no..I don't feel sorry for TO....at all.

Misspelled twice? Sorry. I assure you I'll never be there again, whatever the spelling. We pulled in on a Sunday afternoon, went to a restaurant and they were giving a 10% discount if you had a program from church that morning. Not the Catholic church, mind you. They were specific. So we ate, paid cash so as not to expose the vowel at the end of our name, went to the hotel, woke up and headed east.

That's my A-b-i-l-e-n-e story.

I would totally run to the church, grab a stack of programs and hand them out right outside the restaurant.

Well, I would if I had time on my hands, anyway. Being in Abilene, there's a good chance of that.

To be fair, it's not like this guy has a fallback skill set like accounting or project management in IT. He's doing what he knows how to do, and he really doesn't know how to do anything else. Sure, he's been the subject of numerous threads highlighting his shenanigans in the past, but that does not bar him from trying to earn a living.

I'm sure he has far more monetary resources than I do, and while he may have wasted them in the past, none of us are getting any younger. I wish him the best in his resurgent career.

Having said that, I'll be waiting for the inevitable media feeding frenzy when he goes ballistic for not getting the ball enough after the Cowboys' first loss.

Tricky. They'll have to move past the Allen Americans hockey team. And every high school football team in Plano, Allen, Frisco, etc. And "Amazing Jake's" at the Collin Creek mall. And being stuck in traffic on 75. Of course, none of it can really compete as top attraction with outlet mall right across US 75 from the arena where TO will be playing.

That corner of Stacy and 75 is wicked bad. The NE, NW and SE quadrants all suck.

The SW quadrant, however, is epic cool.

Yeah, but how long will it look like that? I think the NE and SE quadrants looked kind of like that the first time I ever went up that direction.

Fortunately the shiatty roads in the rest of the Metroplex make it really hard to get to any other part of the area so you shouldn't have much of a problem. That and if you survive the gang shootings and cattle stampedes and the piles of gay sex everywhere.

As a life long DFW resident, I cant help but chuckle at the full spectrum of stereotypes down here you managed to fit in to a 2 sentence post.

/On the other hand if you start at I-35 in Ft.worth drive to 30 and take it to 75 in dallas, you actually will pass, in one form or another, everything you threw out there.

I think it's tragic, but I agree ... I don't feel sorry for TO. Especially considering he's perpetuating the cycle himself by not financially supporting his kids and according to his recent article in GQ he barely maintains any contact with any of his kids (and completely uninvolved with one).

In the end, he never owns up anything. His bad blowups around the league? The organization or ex-teammate or media. Being flat broke less than a year out of the NFL? Someone else's fault? Not being involved with his children? His baby mommas are to blame. The man has absolutely no accountability.

To be fair, if you'd ever seen the intersection of Stacy and 75, you'd know that "corner" doesn't quite do it justice.

However, the real point is this:

NW Corner - 100 store outlet mall
SE Corner - Shops at Allen - large outdoor mall
NE Corner - Shops at Fairview - even larger outdoor mall
SW Corner - Empty field with a 400 square foot wooden home.

Pretty much. What happened to the post where someone (rightly) called Terrell Owens -- and Terrell Owens telling GQ he has no friends and doesn't want any friends -- clinically depressed? Fark blows my mind. Some kid kills himself and it's evil to talk shiat about him because he's a suicide, his home life sucked and he had a chemical imbalance. Terrell Owens is alive and that means his behavior is of his own creation under his own control and not a symptom of any chemical imbalance, therefore he gets no sympathy. Ponderous.
