Used to 'collect' comics (now just golden/silver age), but stopped ~18 years ago. 2 years ago I decided to get my nephew, who was 7-8ish, a couple comic subscriptions for Christmas; Spiderman and Superman. I ordered everything on-line. After he started receiving them i was visiting a picked one up and noticed it had a Mature rating. I was shocked by what I saw on the inside (I liked it but it was completely inappropriate for a 7-8 yr old).

I enjoy comics quite a bit.

I hate DC and Marvel and their fanboys. They're why comics will never be seen as anything other than the kiddie fodder people like the Fox News assholes think comic books are.

I've never met a DC or Marvel "fanboy" in real life. I'm sure they exist, but what are they like? I can't imagine how strange it must be to encounter such a person.

That's because when Fox news idiots were kids, comics were under the CCA and heavily censored. They probably didn't have enough imagination as children to try and find independent comic book stores either.
