The poor deaf, dumb and blind German girl? That makes no sense. How would they get there? Maybe Harriet Beecher Stowe was involved?

I heard tunnels were a good place to write her poetry.

FTA: ""There were a ton of people who lived in that house," Mathis said. "He had two wives and seven kids."

Highly unlikely. If this were true, they'd have to weigh an average of 200 lbs each. Very few people were that fat in the Ante-Bellum period, especially blacksmiths and other working class types. I imagine that the family weighed closer to 1,400 pounds at the most.

Am I being too literal?

FTA: "It looks like they put someone in there and nailed it shut," Mathis said.

Lost in all the Aretha Franklin jokes is kind of interesting story (which, admittedly, we don't actually know).

Well that might be accurate. After all isn't Star Trek set in the past or something? Supposed to take place "A long long time in a galaxy far away.", right?

Is that the one with this guy:
scifi.soentertain.me
Where he is trapped in the past, and finds himself leaping from life to life, putting things right that once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap that sends him back to the future?

If the underground was, well you know, underground, why were the bones in the attic which is ABOVE ground? I mean, how could they run tracks up flights of stairs? I can't even do that with model railroads.

No, that's Frodo from Lord of the Rings. Where he has to find and destroy seven Horcruxes so he can defeat Voldemort.
