William Shatner is a freaking genius. Priceline approached him to do the commercials for a fee when they were a new company but he asked if he could have stock instead and creative control over the commercials. They agreed...He cashed out two years ago for over $600 million.

600 million? i read most of his early years were paid in stock options (had the choice) but most of it went down the toilet when the company almost folded.

True, but his cover of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is painful to listen to. I have a disc with that and Leonard Nimoy singing "Let it Be", along with a stellar tuba and banjo version of Stairway to Heaven.
