Big deal. Everyone collaborates with everyone these days. Take the names of every popular singer over the past fiven years, put them in a hat, draw two at random and they've probably collaborated.

Thanks subby. Had you not posted this, I would have never have Googled LMFAO and found out that the one guy's dad made this:

I met them once. Super awkward. I was having an art class in a room just off the stage where they were going to perform that night. Our teacher got us to meet them and take a group picture.

I was standing as far away as possible, even after repeated demands to scoot in.

They were made of plastic. It made me uncomfortable.

There's an LMFAO song that's actually decent?

/just think of them as 2012's Bloodhound Gang

2012-01-19 12:06:20 PM
Oh, they grew up with Paris Hilton? That would explain why they've only just put out their debut album but still waltz around like their shiat don't stink.

I first heard of this band a week or so ago here on Fark. Today, I finally decided to see what all the ruckus was about. Ruckus is a word I've never farking used, but find it appropriate for this situation.

So, I search for it. Saw a couple videos... and good christ. Their music is some of the most annoying I've personally ever heard, and if SOPA, with all its vagueness, over-reaching and potential for abuse, can somehow stop bands like this from ever coming to fruition ever again, it has my complete support.

First heard their stuff over the Summer (it was played incessantly at SDCC). Saw the videos later.

One or two of the songs were catchy and now on my iPod. The rest didn't do much for me.

I don't expect them to be considered musical geniuses by any stretch, but some of their stuff is fun and not too serious about itself. Nothing wrong with that.

I know, I know, "welcome to Fark"

'I'm sexy and I know' it makes me laugh. I will admit it. I have no idea what other songs they have.

Braindeath: 'I'm sexy and I know' it makes me laugh. I will admit it. I have no idea what other songs they have.

The video had me rolling on the floor the first time I saw it, I have a twisted sense of humor though.

I saw them performing live (on television) before I had ever heard any of their music and all I could think of was "why are these grown men with no musical talent prancing around like candy ravers, while a bunch of people with actual talent dance all around them? They must be rich or something." 30-something ravers are not cool.

Since then, they've taken the Black Eyed Peas route to my heart. You're not going to escape their music, so you might as well try to enjoy it for what it is.

I like how people with shiatty taste in music seem to think seriousness and enjoyability is an either/or situation with music.

I remember seeing Paris Hilton's first album at a dollar store. Repeatedly.

Even for a dollar, nobody wanted to buy it.

Are you talking about the song with the video where they're attacked and everyone dances?

2012-01-19 02:49:05 PM
Come on... it is just pop fun.
I like to get my 9year old daughter under control in stores by threatening a dance off to LMFAO.

Here is a parody worthy of the genre: Click Here (new window)
