I read the article more as PETA wants the kid to go to jail for the seal killing and not the bike theft...

Clubbing baby seals to death is way more human than how we kill animals in industrial farms.

What's this extra 'e' doing here?

Better exercise too.

A perfect job for a kid who will only get more violent with age. He can go from clubbing seals, to slaughtering cattle, to setting dogs on fire, then assaulting women and small men. Sleep well kid.

It's OK if he clubs with the baby seals as long as he doesn't serve them alcohol, and they avoid that dub-step garbage music they are trying to play in clubs now.

The only folks complaining are PETA? PETA, that bunch of friggin' extremist hypocrites, can fark off.

Move along, nothing to see here.

2012-01-19 11:52:39 AM
You people are never happy. You complain about young people being unemployed which causes them to get into trouble, now that this kid has a job and is keeping out of trouble you're still biatching.

Typical post by some know nothing bleeding heart pacifist pussy, maybe if you lived up north and study seals like I have you would know that you can only kill seals when they are in their larva state. Once they get older they develop a chitinous exoskeleton that is bullet proof and razor sharp. You try to ride your polar bear to work through a mess of ravenous seal berserkers and you will see how quick you grab for the bat to bludgeon a larva seal into a pulpy slurry.

digest that food for thought.

Or working for PETA at one of thier shelters. Those folks really know how to kill.

"Evil" /= "unethical"

PETA believes his actions are unethical, not evil. PETA even uses the friggin' word in their organization - kind of the point, in theory. However, PETA also kills animals because it's cheaper & more convenient to suffocate them than to find homes for them, so PETA can take their loosely-defined, unevenly-applied "ethics" and fark off.

If my choices are "take a legal, self-supporting job that some find unethical" or "commit criminal acts that all find unethical" to support myself, I'll gladly select the former. The "lesser of two unethical acts", so to speak.

Seals are cute, which makes killing them wrong, unlike adults and children that don't share your skin tone, and may be less attractive.

Methadone Girls: So a baby seal walks into a club...

ba dum chee

I told my son this joke a couple of weeks ago, and he didn't get it. After several texts back and forth I told him to google seal clubbing. He was horrified. He had no idea that seals were clubbed. He's a softy for baby seals.

Scarred for life. I have forever altered his butterflies and rainbows view of the world.

Liliac_Hill: Except that the story is not from America....

Didn't yo get the memo? Every news article, opinion piece, or factoid must be related in some way back to America/USA.

Either it's about America (when it actually isn't), or it's about how America/USA sucks balls compared to some other country. Bonus points if it is the country named in the article.

In every possible metric, America sucks compared to some other country.
Ask any random Netizen, and you'll find that the USA sucks (in some way) compared to any location on the planet.
Albania? There is some obscure law that is better than some other unrelated obscure law in the US. That proves that life in Albania is better than life in the US.
Croatia at the height of the recent unpleasantness? Somewhere, someone is promoting that is a better environment that living in the US.
Somalia? Repeatedly.

Face it....the USA simply sucks balls, in every way possible.

Worcester Crown Court heard he also travels to Alaska and clubs baby seals for a living

Soooo, marine mammals of all types are protected in the US and when the judge finds out he's been lied to I think somebody might be facing a perjury charge as well as the original burglary time. Full time for the burglary charge, full time for the perjury charge, and he'll run the sentences consecutively not concurrently. Judges really don't like being lied to in their own court rooms. Enjoy your stay at Wormwood Scrubs, Parkhurst or Brixton.
