Wait, how much does it cost to paint a cable car? I thought these bets were supposed to be between the mayors, not the cities.

What would happen if the Jets met the Giants in the Super Bowl? Would Bloomberg make a bet with himself?

I'll be in Manhattan in a couple of weeks. I hope they're able to get the new signs up by then, because I want to take a picture.

It'd be cool if the bet would be winner gets to rename the stadium for the next season so it'd be "Met Life Jets/Giants" stadium

Usually it is just the food bet, which this also includes (bagels and sourdough bread).

Jet's get Payton Manning in the offseason.

Jets and Giants make it to the NY Superbowl in 2014.

ESPN implodes from covering a NY superbowl with 2 NY Teams and 2 Mannings.

Oh please, Peyton Manning will be the head coach for Indy next year. They'll announce it right after he gets his $28 million bonus.

Actually, Kennedy and 49th in North Bergen is where the Bergenline Ave Transit station is located.

Cable cars are mainly open air... but, they do run from market st to the Ghirardelli Sq, so....
I'm thinking no one will ride it. It will be an empty car. All day.

Shouldn't they rename Exit 49 off the turnpike if SF wins, y'know since the Giants play in New Jersey?

The Turnpike doesn't have an Exit 49. The exit numbers don't go anywhere near that high.

Well it's already happened with the Mets and Yankees. Can't remember if there was anything like that. Maybe a bet between officials from Queens and the Bronx?

Flappyhead: *Sigh* Why couldn't the gold rush have started in 1869?

Because that would have signicantly altered history to the point where the Chargers may have never existed in the first place so Eli never would have been traded to the giants.

Hmm...between SF and NYG? I think it depends on whether Eli still has the shiats come game day.

Probably the same amount it costs to create and install signage renaming 49th St to 49ers St. (that means every street sign, not just one or two)

Hopefully Ed Lee never exactly specified which Giants colors the cable car would be painted--I certainly wouldn't have a problem with an orange and black cable car!

It sure does. My friend took this pic last night as we went by on the Muni; we had to stop and take a closer look. God, I love San Francisco.

/ 49th street in NY isn't one of their many, many, many cracked out, full of rats and homeless people smoking heroin and beating their baby mamas streets, is it? If we're painting a cable car, I'd like to think that 49th is one of the few streets in NY that isn't a shiathole.
