There's a whole lot of... something in there.
Can't really tell with a skim through which side he's actually on.

Glad he linked so many things though, I guess, whatever.

The mobile site is up, you can browse the regular site with java script disabled or just quickly push the esc key as it loads up.

Uh, did both subby and the moderator read just the headline of the article and wrongly assume that the article was about being tired of anti-SOPA backlash? Because that's the only thing that would make sense here.

Do i misunderstand the article? Or the headline?

i think the blackouts/whiteouts would be significantly more effective if the services were completely unusable- as would be the case should SOPA/PIPA be enforced and sites such as Google blacklisted.
Google a "piracy leader"? Really?
Then every search engine that provides links to copyrighted content is involved in piracy as well- which then leads to the correlation that any and all websites are linked to piracy by varying degrees of separation. So, what would the proponents want? What would stop internet piracy? No more internet. Shut it down.
Shut it all down.

I'm not sure what subby was trying to say, but it sounds like he thinks that the author was saying that people are sick of SOPA protests. Clearly subby did not read (or perhaps didn't understand) the article.

The author is saying that the web is sick of groups like the MPAA trying to ramrod things like SOPA down everyones throats. That's why he points out all the other ridiculous things that they've petitioned for previously, and why he ends the article with:

"[Rupert Murdoch] has ... labeled Google a "piracy leader" and called warnings about risks of DNS censorship 'nonsense' because search engines block speech in some countries just fine.

It looks like a healthy chunk of the Internet finally got fed up with this treatment. Good."

The author is in favor of the protests because he, and the rest of the internet, is sick of the RIAA / MPAA / etc creating things like SOPA.

Yes, you need to read it again, and focus on his conclusion.

What he is saying: The Web blew up today because The Web is sick and tired (tired and sick!) of the moneyed few trying YET AGAIN to buy Congress.

Yep, it's been done before and we're not gonna take it anymore.

His article is ANTI-SOPA/PIPA. PRO-WEB.
